Professional dog sitter
Pet care experience
Experienced, Dog-savvy, professional dog sitter, with 16 years of experience caring for dogs, including giant breeds. Now serving Big Lake and the surrounding area. I am usually available on a first come, first served basis. I will adjust to your dogs routine and preferences: If he likes to play fetch, we'll play fetch. If she likes to go for walks, we'll walk. Tell me what their favorite activities are and they will be pampered as if they were my own. If you are boarding them at my place, they will have one 57 pound male canine host and one 160 pound female canine host (don't worry they LOVE every dog they've ever met), to show them around and play with to their hearts content. He is a lab-Catahoula mix. She is an English Mastiff. I have previously owned a lab and an English Mastiff. As a child, we had German Shepherd Dogs and a Beagle. ASK ABOUT SPECIAL DEPLOYMENT RATES FOR LONG-TERM BOARDING. (Boarding will resume by January 2019, but in the meantime, I am still available for house sitting, dog walking, and dog sitting (in your home.))
Reviews
We had an unexpected dog care issue come up and Ken was able to step in at the last minute and take care of the family baby. He was great! He took wonderful care of my very anxious dog. He took the time to send me pictures during the day which really helped this very anxious mom. He really worked to help her settle in and adjust to her unfamiliar surroundings. He walked her, played fetch and generally just loved on our baby. He is definitely the first person that we will reach out should then need ever arise again.
Ken is very trustworthy and caring. He was awesome with caring for my dogs at my house when I needed someone to help me balance my work and my German Shepherd’s last days . Highly recommend him !! He is reliable and great with communicating updates about dogs and also cats in his care.
Ken was awesome sent pictures of our animals daily and gave us an update as well we will definitely use him again
Ken has watched my corgi, Widget, on several occasions while I was out of town. He is one of her favorite people outside of our own family because he is always willing to indulge her shameless begging for attention—especially belly rubs! He enjoys being with dogs and will absolutely spoil them with attention! Most importantly, Ken is also impeccably trustworthy, honest, and always has the best interest of the dog at heart. I highly recommend him for all of your dog sitting needs!

Information Ken K. would like to know about your pet
All dogs boarding with me must be immunized and current for AT LEAST Parvo, Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella. Immunizations (first of series) must be done at least two weeks before boarding. If boarding with me, or if you want your dog fed during a home visit, please provide individually packed meals (i.e. kibble in a zip-lock, etc.) and detailed feeding instructions. It will be helpful to know if the dog has any special needs, any behavioral issues, any fears or phobias, a high prey drive, or any species or gender aggression issues. It would also be useful to know if he or she has any medical issues or requires any medications. I know basic veterinary first aid, but not CPR. I have contacts at multiple local vet clinics.
A typical day
We will keep our walks on side streets in the immediate area of your dog's home, or in the yard if it is large enough (your preference.) I will adjust to the activity preferences of the dog. I will carry bear spray as appropriate.
