Love in my heart for all animals
Pet care experience
I've been a doggy dad for upwards of 11 years now. I have been caring for animals aside from my own for 6 of those 11. Born and raised in the Chicago area, I’ve made myself available to cover the north side of Chicago (and beyond) for walks, check-ins, and/or overnight stays. My home is open to all animals of all shapes, sizes, and personalities as I understand and love each and every one of them. I have experience caring for a wide range of amazing dogs from sibling teams of pups, elderly doggies, pups who require special attention that is independent from the rest, tiny pups who weigh 4 pounds, pups all the way up to 120 pounds, and even the most curious & exuberant pups who seem to be tougher to break through with than others. High energy on my end for most of the pups I’ve taken care of has been a standard. I love and welcome the idea of having the most fun possible with excursions mixed in with the right amount of exercise for each individual pup. While having fun is definitely important (& expected from any pet parent), making sure a dog is cared for, catered to, AND treated as my own comes in at #1 on my priority list when it comes to the pups I get to know and love. With all of that said, I'm absolutely ready to become best friends with your best friend.

Ken is nothing short of spectacular! He will forever be my “go to” dog sitter !
Let me start by saying Ken is the only sitter I have watch my baby girl. He always reassures me with any changes in her mood/behavior and always takes her on fun trips. I know she loves him too, she goes crazy at the sight of him! I would highly reccomend him.
Ken is an amazing, responsible and caring dog sitter. For the past 6 months, Ken has been walking and staying overnight with my Great Dane when I travel for work. He takes care of my pet and home as if they are his own. I recommend Ken to anyone looking for a dog walker / sitter.

I would love to have the opportunity to schedule a meet & greet with all potential animals I can care for and their parents. In the real world, we understand changes in our plans or other circumstances may not allow for that to happen. So all that I ask is for any and all details in regards to specifications/details pertaining to each individual pet be shared and common questions on both ends be answered. i.e. allergies, precautions, any special attention I may need to provide, or any thing you as a parent can think of. Whether it be in person, by Rover chat, or Rover phone I see this as a vital part of what I do. If the animal may be elderly requiring special attention, require medication, may be aggressive with other animals, may not do well with strangers, is leash aggressive (or have any other type of unexpected aggression that is triggered by certain circumstances), or any other factors I can make sure to keep in mind to ensure the experience is best for both the animal, parent(s) and I, any and everything will help .
A typical day
Simply put; walks around the neighborhood, walks to the park, along the beach, or to the dog park, to jogs with the doggies who demand more adventure and exercise, and even car rides to and from our escapades (for the dogs I get to enjoy extended stays with), I make sure to help pups get all the interaction and exploration they want. As we all know; cuddles, enlightening conversation (just me talking a dogs ear off ), and purely straightforward fun are expected 99.9% of the time (on both ends). If given the opportunity by the parent, I work on any and all specified behavioral adjustments that may be addressed by you. Although I am no trainer, I can provide great patience and direction for leading a dog to becoming who you would like them to be (that means I will follow suit with any training you have going currently without breaking stride, OR I can address and begin to build the foundations of a training regimen upon request while they are in my care. Which holds the potential to set them up for success once they are back with you). Last but not least by any means, we as humans definitely know that delicious, nutritious, and safe treats are a MUST for our animals (and for ourselves too). Basically, I work on ensuring any animal in my care becomes my right hand man or woman, I learn to love all animals under my care, and we have fun while doing it.
