Pet care experience
I've been dogsitting for all kinds of breeds from the time I was 10. My neighbors and family friends had me take their pups on walks when they were gone from home a little too long, as well as in-house sitting when they left town. I've also had my own dogs my entire life. Currently, I have a husky (so I can handle your high-energy pups too!). I worked in a doggy daycare for two years while in undergrad, so I also have additional training in caretaking for different breeds, bathing, emergencies, and dispute resolution.

Kelsie did a great job caring for our two cats and dog! She made sure our finicky 16 year old cat was comfortable and gave her oral medication which isn’t always easy! Our dog has PTSD and Kelsie also made sure he was comfortable. We could see that all our pets looked happy in the pics she shared with us while we were away. Kelsie really went the extra mile, and we highly recommend her to care for your fur babies!
Kelsie was great with our dogs while we went on a 9 day vacation! Our dogs had previously only been watched by family so I was a bit nervous if it would go well and it was great. Kelsie did a meet and greet a week before we left to make sure the dogs didn’t have any stranger danger (one of them can be shy to new people) and they warmed right up to her. She played fetch every day with them and wrote up a rover card twice a day with pictures when she came to the house to check on them. We would definitely use Kelsie again in the future!

At the moment, I'm renting a house on the south hill with a huge fenced in backyard. As for caring for the pet in the client's home: I am very respectful that it's another person's space while balancing the pet's needs and making it a good environment all around. I do have a pup in the home, so I prefer to watch dogs in my home who get along with other dogs! However, I do have several puppy gates to keep them separated and still ensure the proper attention and love needed!

It's important to know the dog's likes/dislikes (including activities, breeds of dogs, people characteristics, etc.), as well as if they get along with other dogs or cats, allergies, quirks, medications, and favorite spot to be scratched!
A typical day
In my area, there are a lot of great parts for walks. I also try to run every morning, so a run with a dog who needs to burn off some energy is always much better than the treadmill. Other activities I am always happy to do are really anything the dog enjoys- fetch, swimming, anything! If the owner is comfortable and the dog plays well with others, dog parks are an option as well! I have a huge backyard full of toys and a kiddie pool too!

Availability
I'm currently in my third year of law school, so my schedule has plenty of large gaps throughout the week to check in on/hang out with your dogs! I have a doggo of my own, so pet care is a constant at our house! He absolutely loves hanging out with friends and playing with literally any dog he meets, so we absolutely love boarding!
