Pet care experience
Hello! I have been dog sitting/taking care of animals for officially 6 years now. I have always had pets growing up ranging from dogs to cats to iguanas and even to ferrets, I love all animals (except spiders) and am passionate about making sure they feel loved and cared for. I originally started Rover when I was in college and now do it on the side of my full time job as a research assistant. I have experience with baby and senior animals, giving medications or shots, and emergency preparedness/situations. I would love to meet you and your fur baby!

I am big on keeping clean and orderly whether it is my or your house. Having a safe and clean space for ourselves and our pets is essential to health and happiness for both. Whether I am overnight sitting or drop in visits, I do basic cleaning and organizing. I want you to be able to come home to your pet and house relaxed and everyone knows the dread of having to clean after being away for a while.
Information Kelsey S. would like to know about your pet
Of course any serious medical problems I would need to be aware of and any previous situations. I’m very calm in stressful situations due to training as a 911 dispatcher and volunteer first responder. I would also need to know if the animals have set feeding schedules or appointments or anything that is routine and important. I have no breed preferences and am comfortable with any pet. I have a questionnaire I normally go over for first time sitting and to keep with me for the future.
A typical day
We can go on walks if the neighborhood allows for it, but if not I would have no problem with bringing them to a local park. If neither of those is possible we can just run around the house or yard if it permits. Of course fetch, tug o war, swimming, and even just lazing around are all things I love to do with my dogs.

Availability
I live in Livingston but work in Baton Rouge, my normal work hours are 7:30-4 but depending on my schedule can be flexible and I can leave during the day at times depending on distance. Typically I would visit morning, after work, and at night unless I am staying there.
