Loving your furbabes like you would

Pet care experience

I’ve always had an affinity for dogs. I love dogs of all sizes, breeds, and conditions. My first dog was a massive chocolate lab, Buddy. He was rescued off the streets of Houston, and immediately made himself at home in our household when I was young. Ever since Buddy, I have made it a habit to bring home 6 other dogs (some without my parents permission while I lived at their house 😅 - don’t worry my parents were only disappointment for all of 5 minutes and then they fell in love with every dog I’ve brought home! 🤪) I adopted a Great Dane named Cleo when I was 22 years old and in college. I made it a priority for me to come home in between classes to take Cleo out of the house multiple times daily. Once she was old enough to take on the world together, we were frequently found at coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, Home Depot, etc. We went everywhere together. Our favorite spot was the San Marcos river or Colorado river for swimming and sun bathing! In 2021, Cleo became disabled with a debilitating disease called Wobbler’s disease. It takes a special kind of person to take care of a disabled animal. I prided myself in my ability to make her comfortable, and I made sure I accommodated my day-to-day to make sure she lived the best life she possibly could for the rest of her days. She loved her walks, so you could probably find us walking around the neighborhood every single night. In 2022, we brought home a miniature Australian Shepherd named Penny! And boy, does she have a lot of energy! She needs at least 3 walks a day and usually more than that! 😂 she loves car rides and trips to Starbucks for her pup cup, of course! All of this to say, I am well-versed in taking care of dogs! Whatever your needs are, whether it be helping your dog take necessary pain medication, disability accommodations, or wearing out a super energetic pup, I am here to help!!

Safety, trust & environment

I am capable of crating your dog if that is what you need after we are back from our walk or working on training while you are away! Safety is my number 1 priority when it comes to your pet. I will never push your dog’s limits, and I am very patient with anxious or fearful dogs. I will take extra precautions when leashing your dog for the walk, and I will make sure to never leave your dog un-attended.

Information Kelsey M. would like to know about your pet

It is of utmost importance to me that you let me know of any special needs that your pet has. Whether that be behavior, a disability, or just needs more pets and attention.

A typical day

Upon special request, I can play your dog’s favorite game/activity or prepare an enrichment activity such as a Kong or lick mat. On our walks, we can go on sniff-aries (let your dog lead the way, sniffing is a great way for dogs to burn off steam!) or we can play chase in a safe area to burn some calories! If you request, I can practice on some training you have been working on! If need be, I can try to help you with basic grooming such as nail clipping and brushing teeth and fur.

I currently am working on a hybrid schedule, so I am working remote towards the back-half of the week! I am available every other Wednesday, and every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I mostly spend my weekends at home, so I have a pretty open schedule! Please reach out to me if there is a special time you need me to drop in and/or walk your pet, so I can try my best to accommodate you.
