Hello! My name is Kelsey, I'm 28 and an alumna of the U of I. I worked as a dog trainer for PetSmart for over four years and recently decided to branch out on my own. I'm very passionate about animals and have made a point to educate myself on how to work with dogs of every breed. Before working as a professional trainer, I trained and walked dogs for family and friends. I am comfortable working with all breeds and sizes and have no problems with high energy dogs. I can provide some additional training for puppies or any dog who needs it, especially the basics like sit, down, loose leash walking, wait and other things that are easy to cover either during walks or during a 30-minute visit. Just let me know if there's anything you're having trouble with or wanting to work on! Currently, I am available for walks and drop in visits before 7:30 am or after 4:00 pm on weekdays and any time on the weekends! I look forward to getting to know you and your pets!

Kelsey did an absolutely WONDERFUL job taking care of my puppy! She went above and beyond in helping my 4 month old puppy learn basic commands (stay, drop it, loose leash walking, etc.) during his time with her. The rover card photos she sent were adorable and I know my pup loved her. I HIGHLY recommend her. =]
Kelsey is amazing with dogs! We took all three levels of training she offered at Petsmart and after she left Petsmart she’s taken care of Oskie (our 2 year old golden) a few times. She really has a way with them, and was so patient with us when we got frustrated by problems with Oskie that were difficult to work through. You really can’t go wrong with her!
My dog, Sadie Grace, and I took classes with Kelsey when she trained at Petsmart. We did beginner through advanced classes and loved every minute of them! Kelsey is amazing with animals and really helped us work through the problems that come with rescuing an adolescent dog. When Sadie came to us, she was hyper, scared of everything and not potty trained. Now she’s passed her Canine Good Citizen test and loves being around other people and dogs. Thanks Kelsey!
