Licensed veterinary technician

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Kelsey and I am looking to start helping people out with their pets! I have always wanted to work with animals. I started by cleaning kennels at a veterinary hospital my sophomore year in high school then moved up to receptionist and veterinary assistant. I then when onto college where I got a degree in veterinary technology and passed my state licensing exam. I got a job as a surgical technician at a veterinary clinic then left to raise my first born. After being a stay at home mom for 3 years I returned to work and worked at a lab that runs diagnostics for veterinarians all over NYS. I recently left vet med for the human side. I have also house sat for many people along my journey. I have stayed at people's houses, I have had dogs stay at my house and I have done drop in visits. Please be advised that I have 4 beautiful children, 2 dogs, a rabbit, and I work Monday-friday, but someone is almost always home. I hope there are families out there that I can help. Animals are much happier in a home than a kennel!

Kelsey is amazing!! Murphy loves her and her whole family. I know he's in good hands when he is with her. She takes great care of Murphy and sends adorable photos while I'm away. I'm so thankful my dog has a safe and loving home when we are out of town. Thank you Kelsey!!!

Kelsey is the best. Murphy gets excited when I tell him we are heading there and as soon as we pull into her neighborhood- he knows! Someone is always home and they let Murphy sleep with them - huge things for my anxious dog. She is flexible and great with communication. Murphy loves to have playmates and coming from a busy house - loves her busy house.

Kelsey was great with our energetic dogs, gave us updates on how they were doing and very quick to respond.

Kelsey was absolutely wonderful. She really went above and beyond by adjusting her schedule and keeping my dog an extra day when I had flight delays. I am so grateful to her for taking such good care of my bestie.
