Pet care experience
I’ve helped take care of cats and dogs all throughout my life as my family was huge on pets—having up to 4 cats and 2 dogs at once. I have experience with large breed dogs, as I was integral in the care of my family’s 2 Great Danes, including when they became senior Danes (with one passing recently at age 13). I have pet sit for family/friends on numerous occasions— for kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs of various breeds and sizes. Most of my experience has required me to watch multiple animals at one time, including animals requiring several medications and dogs with special needs including posterior limb paralysis.

This is the second time that Kelsey has dropped by to feed my cats while I was away. I messed up the scheduling but she was able to accommodate.

I can spend as much or as little time as you wish with your pet. If I’m not pet sitting and just stopping in for walks and/or potty breaks, I’d be happy to refill water/food, give your pet treats, etc as directed. I’m happy to play with your pets or let them chill out and be independent—whatever their personality is. If sitting, I am generally able to stay with your pet for majority of the day/night—only need to leave for a brief period to feed my own cats.

A typical day
There are so many places to walk throughout the Lehigh Valley, tons of areas for dogs to explore! I would be happy to take your pet to new places or to their favorite spots. I’ll spend time playing ball, tug of war, whatever they like and maybe even get a special treat while we’re out.

Availability
Caring for pets is not my primary job, but I love animals and am always up for getting to meet new dogs and cats! I am a nurse who recently left the bedside so I am working a standard M-F in my regular career—therefore please know that my schedule generally does now allow for middle of the day visiting with your pets. I have plenty of time to see your pets for your weekends away! If you do need someone during the week, depending on your needs I may be able to accommodate you before/after work, don’t hesitate to reach out!
