Pet care experience
I’ve owned pets my whole life growing up, always a combination of cats and dogs. I previously worked in the animal care field when I was a host at Crumbs & Whiskers in LA (a cat cafe!) and I loved it so much. I also was a volunteer for 4 years at an aquarium, where I helped care for aquatic animals (starfish, swell sharks, anemones, hermit crabs, and whelks). I have pet sat for neighbors and friends over the years as well!

Kelsey was amazing! She helped me out last minute when other pet sitting plans fell through. On the day I was scheduled to leave for my trip she came to meet my cats and agreed to sit them for the week. She was so kind and reassuring and was really great with my cats! They warmed quickly to her and she sent the sweetest pics while I was away! I arrived home to two happy and sociable kitties, a tidy home, and she even stayed a late on the final day to make sure they got fed on time, since I wasn’t arriving home until late that night. So thoughtful of her! I would absolutely book kelsey again and would encourage others to do so as well! She is so at ease with the animals and the animals feel it!
Kelsey was caring and provided plenty of photos of our cats while we were away. I would highly recommend her services!
Kelsey took such great care of my dog Tucker!!
Kelsey was a blessing! Many sitters I tried to contact didn't get back to me or didn't realize it was Labor Day weekend and had other plans even though thier calendar said it was open. Even though Kelsey had to move on one of the days, she was very responsive and open to finding a schedule that would work for us both. We had a terrible heatwave and she made sure to adjust accordingly so too much time wasn't spent outside. I have a senior dog so I was terribly concerned about heat stroke but Kelsey did a great job taking care of her. She provided daily updates and was a very considerate house guest. I would absolutely use her services again. Thank you Kelsey!

While the no pets policy in my current place prevents me from boarding animal buddies, I have some general guidelines I apply to any house I stay at: 1. Always have water available, and refresh it often. 2. Clean the litterbox at least once a day, twice if there are multiple cats in the residence. 3. Establish a baseline impression of how the pet physically and behaviorally presents, so that any injuries or health anomalies are easily and quickly noticeable should they arise. 4. Engage— whether they love walks, love toys, or love cuddling, I want to make sure they are getting whatever they like most when they’re with me! P.S. I have had the 2 Covid vaccines & 2 boosters!

Size and strength. It’s hard to set a rule on the dog’s size because there are plenty of gentle giants out there! But being only 5’ 3’’, a large strong dog could be too challenging for me. If your 90 lb dog has a tendency to take off running while on the leash, please let me know so we can make sure it’s a good fit! I also definitely want to be aware of any medical needs, or behavioral information.
A typical day
I’m down to try whatever your pet loves! I am happy to play fetch at a park, walk a nice trail, and even try to teach them new tricks. One of my favorite things to do when working at the cat cafe was teach cats how to sit, stand and shake on command (shake they never quite mastered). If your pet is primarily a cuddle bug, I’m also happy to just hangout with them!

I am a graduate student at UCR! Some days of my week are dedicated to being on campus, but I do a lot of pet care especially on weekends and over winter/spring/summer break!
