I have a passion for all animals but dogs have a special place in my heart. I had two dogs growing up, one rescue and one yellow lab, and have loved every second of caring for, walking, running and playing with them. I grew up in a neighborhood, and would dogsit for my neighbors and friends. I have never had a negative experience caring for a dog and love each and every dog I have ever met. My fiancé and finally have a pup of our own who we love so very much!! In 2018, I began using Rover while I studied for my Registered Dietitian board exam and began volunteering at La Mancha Animal Rescue 1 day a week at that time as well. I stopped using Rover once I passed my boards and began working full time but I am now a student again! I will be studying for my physician assistant boards this summer and have random chunks of free time. My schedule is flexible! I am looking forward to hearing from you and look forward to any help and care I can provide for your dog!

Kelsey was my dogs first Rover sitter and we couldn’t be more happier with our first experience!!! She was fast to respond and luckily available for us on such short notice. Yesterday morning I downloaded rover app to find a sitter for today. Kelsey responded right away and even made time to meet us yesterday because I wasn’t able to meet today. She took great care of Sox, she took him to the local park to play in the snow and explore then played with him at my house for another 2.5 hrs. I know Sox had fun and got all his energy out too! We can’t thank you enough for helping us out today Kelsey. We will definitely be calling You first when we need a sitter!

We gave Kelsey a challenge. She wanted to watch our two Great Dane puppies. They are litter mates and occasionally think they are in charge. From the minute she met them we knew she was the one for the job. Kelsey showed no fear and we could tell she just knew how to handle them and their antics. It’s always a worry for us when we go away that whoever stays with the boys will be overwhelmed or scared off and never want to come back. I don’t think that’s a worry for us anymore. Kelsey sent us a picture of the boys sleeping on the couch and let us know they all snuggled the night before at bedtime. We were so relieved to hear her stay went well. And the dogs were relaxed when we got home. It’s so great to be able to trust your furry kids with someone else. And I think my Danes have a new best friend.
Kelsey was very responsible with Brady. We went away for a week and when we got back Brady was in great spirits. She went above and beyond to make sure Brady didn’t feel alone or abandoned. He’s and English Bulldog and they are a lot of maintenance, Kelsey handled Brady like a pro. I will use Rover and Kelsey again. If anyone wants to use Kelsey I highly recommend it. She’s more than we could have asked for.

I will need to know the dogs routine, time, and location. Specifically location and time as my schedule is different day to day! If you have a reactive dog, please give me a heads up on triggers and how you normally handle your dog becoming reactive so I can make sure to stay consistent.
A typical day
I enjoy walking in the Shadyside area with my dog, but am open to new parks and neighborhoods wherever my clients are! During overnight stays, I enjoy playing catch with pups since there is more time!

Availability
I have off most Fridays and have chunks of free time during weekdays. Am available weekends as well. I will need a few hours notice before I am able to dog walk or drop in as I am in classes for PA school this summer.
