Pet care experience
Welcome to my Rover profile! I'm Kelsey, and my life revolves around my love for animals. With a strong academic background and hands-on experience, I'm your dedicated pet enthusiast, here to ensure your furry (or not-so-furry) friends receive the utmost care and attention. Education and Expertise I hold a degree in Animal Science, a testament to my commitment to understanding and caring for animals. But my love for the animal kingdom doesn't stop there! I also completed a Master's degree in Entomology, and I'm currently working on my doctorate in biology. Yes, I even love bugs! My extensive education allows me to approach pet care with a unique perspective, ensuring your pets are in safe, knowledgeable hands. Professional Experience Throughout my academic journey, I've gained invaluable practical experience in the world of pet care. I volunteered at a local veterinarian's office, where I managed all aspects of caring for boarded dogs, from walks and playtime to feeding and more. During my undergraduate and master's years, I worked at a feline clinic, serving as a veterinarian's assistant and kennel operator. I excelled in a wide range of tasks, including administering medications, feeding, bathing, exercise, and providing exam assistance. My time at the feline clinic also granted me specialized knowledge in senior cat care. Why I'm on Rover My motivation for offering pet care services on Rover is simple: I want to share my expertise and passion for animals with pet owners like you. I understand the unique needs of different pets and the trust you place in a caregiver. Your pets become part of my extended animal-loving family, and their well-being is my top priority. Services Offered I'm here to cater to your pet's needs, whether it's dog walking, pet sitting, in-home visits, or any other specialized service your furry companion requires. My flexible availability ensures that I can accommodate your schedule, and I'm more than willing to discuss any special requests you may have. Let's Connect I'd love to chat with you about your pet's needs and how I can be the ideal caregiver for them. Don't hesitate to reach out, ask questions, or schedule a meet-and-greet. Your pets deserve the best, and I'm here to deliver just that. Your pets' happiness and well-being are my top priorities. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved companions!
Reviews
Kelsey was amazing! Loved our dogs like her own. She was very informative on how our dogs were doing and sent great pictures! She was also easy to contact and helped out when our family member couldn’t come over to feed them in time. We will definitely be reaching out to work with Kelsey again!
I would highly recommend Kelsey to anyone needing a pet sitter. She is extremely trust worthy and took excellent care of our fur babies. We will be using her again in the future!
Kelsey was great! Kept us updated and took care of everything!
I am so thankful for Kelsey. She took great care of my two dogs while I was away. Kelsey sent detailed updates and cute pictures of my girls everyday so I had peace of mind that the dogs were not only okay, but happy while I was gone. She played fetch and tug of war to my playful dog and gave tons of snuggles to my Velcro pup. 100/10 would recommend!

I live on a spacious farm with a 1-acre fenced backyard, a dog run with 9 kennels, and access to beautiful hiking trails. Your pet will have ample opportunities for outdoor fun, whether it's playtime in the yard or leashed hikes through the woods. I also have two friendly small/medium-sized dogs who are crate trained, along with extra dog and cat crates if needed. For added socialization, we're just a five-minute drive from a fantastic fenced dog park. Inside, I have three indoor-only cats who are excellent at mingling with other feline friends. Rest assured, they can be kept separate if necessary to ensure a peaceful stay for your pet. Your furry family member will feel right at home in our pet-friendly oasis, with plenty of room to roam and explore.

Information Kelsey C. would like to know about your pet
Special Needs Pets: Some pets may have special needs, such as medical conditions, physical limitations, or behavioral issues. It's essential to gather information about any special requirements, accommodations, or restrictions that your pet may have. Medications: If the pet requires medication, I want to have a detailed understanding of the medication schedule, dosage, and administration method. I want to ensure I have the necessary medication information and know how to administer them correctly. Allergies: As an owner of a dog who is massively allergic to grass (right??), I'm aware of how allergies affect our sweet fur babies. I'd love to know of any allergies that your pet may have, whether it's related to food, environmental factors, or specific plants encountered during hikes. Dietary Preferences and Restrictions: Pets often have specific dietary preferences or restrictions. We can discuss your pet's food preferences, feeding schedule, and any dietary restrictions or allergies. Behavioral Concerns: Some pets may have specific behavioral concerns, like fear of water or other dogs, or tendencies to wander off during hikes. Understanding these behaviors will help me plan activities accordingly. Pet Comfort: Your pets might have favorite toys, blankets, or other comfort items. Knowing these can help me create a familiar and reassuring environment for them.
A typical day
A day in the life of your beloved pet under my care promises adventure, exercise, and lots of love. Mornings typically start with a cheerful greeting and breakfast tailored to their specific dietary needs. After that, we embark on a day full of exciting activities. Fun Activities Local Dog Park: One of our favorite destinations is our local dog park. It's a hub of fun and socialization for pups, providing the perfect opportunity for your dog to interact with new friends, run, play, and burn off that excess energy. Dog-Friendly Lake Access: For water-loving dogs, I'm in luck because I live near a dog-friendly lake access point. This means plenty of opportunities for refreshing swims and splashes in the water. It's an excellent way for your dog to cool down and enjoy aquatic play. Hiking Adventures: Living in proximity to state parks with amazing hiking trails is a perk! I love taking dogs on outdoor adventures, where we can explore the beauty of nature together. Whether it's a leisurely walk or a more challenging hike, I adapt the trails to your dog's energy level and preferences. Special Places for Walks Our walks are not limited to just these options. Depending on your dog's preferences and the weather, we might explore neighborhood strolls, visits to local gardens, or even an occasional visit to a pet-friendly cafe. Safety is paramount, and I ensure that your dog is securely leashed and under close supervision during outdoor activities. We'll take breaks, stay hydrated, and I'll always have a bag of doggie treats on hand for rewards and positive reinforcement. Rest assured that your pet's comfort and happiness are at the forefront of every activity we undertake. If there are specific places your dog particularly enjoys or any special considerations I should be aware of, I'm all ears. Every day with your dog is an opportunity to create wonderful memories and provide the best care possible.
