I have volunteered for the past two years at an Animal Care and Protective services shelter. As a part of training to volunteer I've taken a dog handling class. I've also been pet sitting dogs since I was 10. I have a dog of my own (a labradoodle) that I have been training to be a service dog. I also have been an active wagwalker for 1 year. I'm a teacher so my availability is pretty wide open during the summer. During the school year my availability is more limited as I work full time. As a result, late August through May my availability is mostly limited to the weekends, in the morning before 9, or the evenings after 6. Because I currently rent an apartment I would have to pet sit in your home. I've been doing this for friends and family for years and am quite responsible. I also would be willing to help with any house responsibilities while you are away (i.e. taking in mail, watering plants, taking out trash ect.)
