Kelsey’s Kanines!
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Kelsey and I’m excited to get to know you and your fur babies! [🐶🐶Follow me on my new Instagram page! @kelseys_kanines] I, myself, have two doggies of my own. A sweetheart of a German Shepherd and one high maintenance Cocker Spaniel. They are my not just dogs, but a major part of our family. I fall in love with every dog I meet and my goal is to be your preferred sitter because I want to build a relationship with your pups (and you) so that they feel comfortable during their time with me! Plus then I get to see them regularly. :) I have a day job and don’t get home until 5:30 on weekdays, however, I do come home midday each weekday for an hour to let the doggies out and give them some loves! I have a lot of experience with dogs. I am a certified pet groomer which I do not practice anymore but I am hoping to one day switch gears and become a professional dog trainer and hope to one day train service dogs. A little background on me——> I am 30 years old and have been obsessed with dogs and animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve been bit by several dogs (mostly due to grooming and training) and yet, I haven’t ever hated a dog. I am a very organized person who loves meeting new people (and pups!). Your doggie will have their own dog hook and cubby with all their stuff so it won’t get lost. They’ll even have a name card with all that I need to know about them and their stay. Careful with packing toys. My dogs tend to steal them. There are plenty of toys here. But, if they need a toy as a safety blanket, let me know and I’ll keep it safe! If you are boarding with me, you will automatically get at least one update a day unless you choose to receive more then I will gladly accommodate. Booking with me —-> 1. Although it’s not required, I do love meeting beforehand so that you can get to know me in person and see that I am very good with dogs and assure you that they’ll be in good hands. ***(I’ve chosen to put meet and greets on hold during the pandemic)*** 2. I become “Aunt Kelsey” with all my clients! 3. I have a strict cancellation policy. This means, if you book and then cancel 7 days prior to the booking after 12PM, you will only get 50% of a refund. ***The only reason I chose to do it this way is because I am VERY busy and I am, sadly, having to constantly turn people down because I’m booked. Thank you for understanding!*** 4. When you book, it will ask for your card info and once you enter it and submit everything, you will get charged right away!! Please keep this in mind. Let me know if you need to wait! Thank you!! 5. My cocker spaniel, Dexter, doesn’t like people so he won’t join us at meet and greets or drop offs/pick ups. However, he will snuggle and play with your dog like crazy!! My promise and guarantee is that you will not be disappointed in choosing me to look after your pet because your pup deserves to be treated like royalty and that’s a goal that I have been able to achieve every time with ease. Can’t wait to meet your best friend!! -Kelsey
Reviews
Kelsey handled my dog with anxiety very well. I was able to focus on my trip and not worry about my fur babies. She also sent me really cute pictures. :)
Took great care of our pup during the holidays! Thanks Kelsey!
An awesome pet sitter:) definitely recommend
Kelsey did an awesome job! We were sad we had to leave our little buddies for the holidays but Kelsey made them feel at home for us! She sent us photo updates and messages almost daily! ❤️ We will definitely request her again if we need it :)

Information Kelsey B. would like to know about your pet
Crates: I only require crates if you have a puppy that likes to chew but if you do not, they can either have their own room or they can roam the house. Whichever you prefer! Eating: When their humans are away, some doggies tend not to eat all that well the first day. I need to know what I’m allowed to entice them with. Can I add low sodium chicken broth, pumpkin...etc. Other dogs: How is your pup with other dogs? Treats: Is there anything they’re allergic to? Toys: I need a list of the toys you bring to the house so I can ensure they’re all given back to you. I have 3 dogs who have so many toys and I don’t want to get them mixed in! Safety blankets: Do they have a blanket, pillow, rug, or even an item of your clothing that they’ll need to feel safe? Rules: Are there any rules that I need to help them follow? Such as: Not allowed on the couch, not allowed downstairs, no jumping up, no barking...etc. Commands: Are there any commands that they are learning and working on that I can help with?
A typical day
There's a park (Bonneville Park) by my house that I love to take my dogs to for fetch play! If I was sitting at the owners house, I would look for parks in the area because i think playing fetch and interacting with other dogs and humans is very good for a dog!

Availability
Pets are like children, therefore part of the family. Because of this, they’re top priority. I make sure they’re fed, sheltered, get love, have fresh water, and as many potty breaks and exercise that they need!
