Hi! My name is Kelsey and I'm a 29-year-old flight attendant from New Mexico. I grew up loving animals; I was that kid who wanted to be a vet because I thought you got to keep all of the animals. My family has always had dogs and horses and even a couple parakeets, a few ducks, and a barn cat or two. Our dogs have ranged from Dalmatians to Jack Russell terriers to strays to a Great Dane named Bronx. Currently I have a two-year-old Cocker Spaniel named Sunny who I've raised from a puppy and is the love of my life. My roommate is also a flight attendant, so I regularly take care of her Catahoula mix, Sadie, when she is out of town. For six months now I've been volunteering at the MaxFund Animal Adoption Center in Denver, and I have experience handling, walking, and playing with a wide range of breeds, sizes, ages, special needs, temperaments, and backgrounds and I've loved every minute of it. When I'm not flying, I'm at Maxfund, training and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, hiking, lifting, or reading. Being a flight attendant, I am out of town often, but I end up with an average of 12-19 days off a month and walking/visiting puppers is the perfect way to utilize that time. Because of the flexibility and unpredictability of the job, my days off vary month to month and week to week.
