I am brand new resident to El Dorado County as of 2020! I have been very involved in this community working for EDCOE, Purple Place, Moonraker, In-Shape, and a lot of other local favorites! I am currently on a professional route, finishing up a teaching residency program with EDCOE and earning a single-subject teaching credential for English. As I finish up this credential program and prepare for a teaching position at a local school, I would like to earn an income on the side doing something that makes me happy! I am both a cat and dog person, and am hoping for opportunities to work with other animals such as reptiles and hoofed mammals. I absolutely love meeting new fur babies and their parents, as I am a proud betta fish parent but need a fix on larger more affectionate creatures. I am a very patient and loving person, and I can guarantee that your pet is in good hands!

Kelsey was available to watch our puppy, Sprout, on really short notice, and we're so grateful to her for it. Sprout is every bit a puppy. One minute he's on hyper drive, and the next minute he's out cold. He can be super timid one moment, and your best friend the next. Kelsey was extremely patient with him, and treated him with so much love. When we returned, Sprout sat patiently by her side, completely happy with his new friend. We can't recommend Kelsey enough. She is super respectful and responsible, and she's a true animal lover. Next time we're out of town, we will definitely reach out to her before anybody else.

I am extra careful to check on gates and door/window locks. I am used to skid-dish animals that attempt prison breaks! My approach to house environment is to replicate as much normalcy to the pet as possible.

I would love to have as much detail as possible to prepare for behavior/health triggers or tendencies for your pet. Surprises aren’t always fun, especially if you are away and most likely not immediately reachable. I have experienced emergency pet issues and prefer an emergency contact/vet number for your pet.
A typical day
Typically I am grading assignments or updating schedules for my students! For fun, I watch a lot of crime tv and horror movies. I am an avid weight lifter and a new runner, just having completed my first event, a half-marathon!

Availability
I am in a teaching residency program, working typical school hours 8-3pm Monday-Thursday, with Zoom night classes 4-7/8pm Mondays and Wednesdays. These days and times will be concluded with the academic year, and I will then have mostly full availability, aside from planned vacations.
