Experienced Caring Vet Assistant
Pet care experience
I’ve been involved in taking care of animals for 7 years. I currently work in a veterinary clinic as a vet assistant and am not only comfortable caring for dogs and cats but exotic pets too. Right now I am free afternoon and at night Monday-Wednesday. Thursday I work all day so I would be unavailable unless an overnight was scheduled. Friday-Sunday I am completely free. I live in a spacious apartment with my cats and my dog. Our dog goes on regular walks and the cats are very well tempered. We would provide walks and activities and all the comfy spots on our couch for pups that stayed with us. As far as going to a clients home, I will do what is instructed and good for their pet.
Reviews
Extremely responsive and loved our baby like her own. Couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitting experience.
Kelsea was amazing with my cats. She spoiled them and it was obvious how quickly they became comfortable with her. Her communication with me was great and we got many pictures of happy kitties!
Kelsea was simply amazing. She took our two cats on very short notice and had a great setup for them when we arrived. They had their own space with a cat tree, beds and plants to enjoy. She sent me many updates and pictures. The cats did great, received a lot of attention and love from Kelsea while they were in her care. When we arrived to pick them up, she had just placed them in their kennels so they were ready to go, and they were not stressed at all. I cannot recommend Kelsea enough.
Kelsea has worked for the Pet Vet Hospital and Wellness Center since 2020. She is an experienced Veterinary Assistant and passionate about providing competent, compassionate and loving care to animals. Kelsea has excellent animal husbandry skills and very familiar with medicating and handling high maintenance pets. Besides cats and dogs, she is familiar with reptiles, rodents and picket pets. She is friendly, dependable and thoughtful. I would strongly recommend her for your consideration.

Information Kelsea E. would like to know about your pet
The most important thing you could give me as an owner is your pet’s schedule. Sticking to a set schedule helps acclimate pets to new surroundings. Maybe bringing familiar items would be helpful for pets that are staying with me. If your dog has any special needs including administering oral or injectable medications (including subcutaneous fluids) I am very experienced and willing. I also have experience dealing with senior pets with cognitive dysfunction and I’m confident I can tend to their needs while making them feel comfortable.
A typical day
Any dog that stays with my family will be treated like our family. In the morning is breakfast time and potty time. Then we relax on the couch while breakfast is finished by my kids, this would just mean major cuddle time for the pets. Then they could go for their first walk. There is a soccer field next to my apartment complex that would be great for them to run around/be socialized. If you have a young puppy I would also be willing to work on training. In the evenings after dinner we would go for another walk. Before bed we just hang out while I tend to the other pets in my home. Overnighter pets would get whatever environment suits them best, their own room or they can share my room . I will do everything I can to make your pet feel as close to home as they can!
