Pet care experience
Growing up, I never had a pet, however, my neighbors did, and I love taking care of them. When I met my husband, we decided that we must have dogs in our lives. We adopted a Shih Tzu and a cocker spaniel. I have raised puppies and cared for my senior dogs. My cocker spaniel was blind and deaf so a little extra love was needed for her. I found the best way to trick her into taking medicine and administered eyedrops and eardrops daily for many years. When we adopted our daughter, we decided that she needed to grow up with a pet. It was the best decision ever! After the cocker spaniel and Shih Tzu passed away, we adopted another Shih Tzu named Daisy, who is now our daughter’s best best friend.

If your dog has any special needs, I am happy to take a little extra time to learn those needs, and to properly take care of them. I had a dog that was blind, deaf, and always had ear issues. I am very comfortable administering pill medication, drops for ears or eyes as well.
A typical day
A typical day with my dog, Daisy consist of bringing her downstairs from the bed and changing her water and feeding her. We then go on her morning walk which usually does very quickly because she can’t wait to get back upstairs and snuggle for a little bit. Once my daughter gets home from school, it’s playtime for them and they love chasing each other around the house. But as you know Shih Tzu’s get tired very quickly and she just wants to lay on the couch and snuggle with my daughter.

Availability
Just moved to a New Jersey from Cleveland Ohio. We have always had dogs. We had a cocker spaniel Daphne and shih tzu Gizmo who passed in 2019. We adopted another Shih Tzu Daisy so is as crazy as our 7 year old. We currently live in Oceanport on the old Fort Monmouth. I am looking to walk/love on some fur babies during my free time.
