Pet care experience
Hello! My years of animal care experience ranges from home pets to shelter pets, tiny breeds to extra large breeds, sweet & happy to difficult & aggressive temperaments, new born puppies & kittens to old souls that are living their final moments. Formerly an Animal Caregiver at the SD Humane Society where I skillfully handled both cats & dogs. I've also worked with various pet rescues in San Diego where I volunteered at events and became a primary foster parent & interviewed potential adopters. I've always had family pets growing up and have raised my 10-year-old lab-mix dog since he was 10 weeks old. I've been a natural animal lover since the day I was born! I’m happy to answer any questions you may have and look forward to hearing from you!

Kelly is an incredible Rover sitter. We’ve had her watch our kitty babies the last 2 times we’ve been out of town, and intend to continue booking her for future vacations. We get at least 5 pictures from her every time she visits, and our cats are extremely comfortable around her. She sends detailed notes each time she stops by which set our minds at ease. Kelly is great with our little Maltipoo - he clearly adored her at our meet and greet and it makes my work day go a little smoother knowing Milo is getting in a good walk and some snuggle time in the middle of the day. Highly recommend.

Before pet sitting I like to know: -How are they on walks? -Are there any behavioral quirks? -Aggression problems? (Ex., food aggression, territorial, dog aggression, etc.) -Do they get along with other pets? -Have they been around children before? -What is the daily routine for your pet? -Is there anything your pet does NOT like or does not tolerate? (Ex., doesn't like to be picked up, doesn't like his/her head or tail touched, doesn't like loud noises, doesn't like skateboarders, etc.) -Is your dog from a rescue or shelter?
A typical day
Where we go on walks is completely up to the pet-parent & what they are comfortable with! Perfectly fine if it's a simple walk around the block or lots of fetch in the backyard! Depending on the pet & pet-parents, sometimes the agenda is to play outside, work on a new trick, or have a nice relaxing time with lots of belly rubs.

My husband and I have flexible schedules. While my husband works remotely I am raising our 2 young children (infant & toddler). Pets coming into our home MUST be child friendly!
