Loving home for your pooch!

Pet care experience

Cuddling and playing with dogs is one of the best things in life! I love cuddle bugs who sleep on the bed with us. Clingy Velcro dogs are my ideal! I have had dogs throughout most of my childhood and early years. We only have one client at a time to guarantee your dogs safety from other dogs. If you have 2-5 dogs that is great as long as they are buddies and loving siblings and I can change my availability for more dogs on the booking. If we have a request for more than one small breed that is good with other dogs during some overlapping stays we might ask each client and double book with everyone’s permission but this is rare. We have a lovely home in the hills with a fenced in yard and a nearby park perfect for walking dogs with our daughter. My 26 year old step-daughter who has an apartment on our property also provides an additional sitter giving your doggies plenty if attention. There is usually always someone in the home to offer love, care, and constant potty breaks. We have a 16 year old non verbal special needs child who generally ignores the dogs but is scared of dogs with reactive behavior. Guard dog behavior is fine to protect us from outside but dogs that get reactive towards us or anyone of us quietly coming around the corner is not a good fit. I also need to make sure I am safe when I come home at 3 am from my shift on Tues-Fridays. Your sweetie has constant care with the exception of 3-4 on weekdays during school year while Tobias picks up his daughter from school. If your dog is afraid of other dogs on walks or reactive on leashes we can still provide good exercise with the long house that is a great running path and our side yard that I can do some leash walks or runs with your baby. We also have trails nearby that is remote and more of a forest with almost no chance for people or dogs.

Kelly was amazing with my dog. She took him in last minute and took the most detailed care of him while I was out of town. Kelly has such a nurturing personality. I felt the most confident leaving my precious dog in her hands. 10/10 I would definitely recommend!!!

Kelly was so so amazing with Cooper and I really appreciated her communication with me while I was out of town! The pictures let me know Cooper was right at home and it gave me peace of mind! Will definitely book again

This was our dog’s first experience away from us. We were so grateful Kelly S took such great care and gave so much love to our anxious dog. He had a great stay. We also received regular updates and photos showing how happy he was

Only one client at a time unless we have request for two small breeds that get along with other dogs that overlap during a busy time and both parents give permission. But this is a very rare request. I am surprised by how many sitters are watching multiple animals of different sizes that can harm each other. Fenced yard and nearby park for walks. We have a long home with long hallways for exercise running back and forth. The door to the backyard is at our bedroom making potty breaks convenient. I’ll go outside with your sweetie at night if they are scared. The backyard has a little hill for muscle toning! Dogs love our cold spots on our hardwood floors during the summer. And we have a room that is super cold where we have our solar air conditioning which is ideal for a super furry breed to cool off on hot days. Love to cuddle as much as possible.

I definitely need to meet protective or aggressive dogs before I get home at 3 am on weekdays from my shift unless they are the lovey dovey type who loves all strangers. We need to know if your larger breed has any aggressive behavior or REACTIVE Behavior. Scared small dogs are fine and large sweet babies that are non reactive are fine as well. We do not want to stress how special needs child with reactive dogs. Most dogs seem to know that she is special and protect and guard her however and it is so sweet. Velcro clingy dogs are a favorite of mine that are not reactive. If anyone can point me to a doggie CPR course I would love to take one! I have given CPR on a human.

A typical day

I can be active with sporty dogs on weekends as long as he/she is leash friendly or dog park friendly. We usually get in a walk or two each day on weekends including mondays. Weekday schedules may not be as active but we can do our best! And in the house I like to use dogs for my own exercise running up and down the long halls in my home. Love to play with any toys they have or chill and cuddle. I usually cuddle with a doggie on the sofa at night binge watching shows. And sleep with one or two in the bed or they can lay beside us in their bed. My step daughter downstairs likes to come up and steal a dog for a walk too. I love big dogs so much and have handled some big huskies on walks that were leash friendly and not escape artists. Big dogs that are wild on a leash would only be able to get exercise with in house runs through our long house but should be enough for short stays.

We are both home on my three day weekends and Tobias and Katrina are home during the weekday evenings. I usually furlough from work November and December and am around 24/7 during those months. I work ten hour night shifts Tuesday to Friday so meet and greets in the mornings are quite rough for me but doable if it is the only time available for you. We always have someone with the dogs with exception of 4-5 pm slot when Tobias picks up his daughter from school. Your sweetie can ride with him if he/she has separation anxiety. Our backyard door is at our bedroom making potty breaks easy 24 hours. I sometimes forget the rest of the world does not work nights and may answer your requests at weird hours. As long as your doggie has no problem with strangers coming home from work at 3 am then I can bypass some meet and greets with non reactive dogs. We need to know if your larger breed has any aggressive behavior or REACTIVE Behavior. Scared small dogs are fine and large sweet babies that are non reactive are fine as well.
