In addition to growing up with my own pets as a kid, I also made my money in grade school and high school pet sitting for neighborhood families. I volunteered at local animal shelters in college and continued pet sitting/walking post college while teaching. I took a short break while having my kids and but ready for some sweet four-legged friends again. We are a family who loves the outdoors and walks so adding a furry friend to the fun would be simple and fun!

I love how Kelly is so attentive to our dogs. Our dogs mean everything to us and she treats them like family! Rain or shine, she’s there for us! We adopted Muffy back in 2019 and it took us a really long time to get her comfortable around others. I was nervous introducing her to a dog walker and not knowing if we made the right choice, but it was like the stars has aligned and angel sent us the most perfect dog walker (Kelly). She was nurturing and loving to our sweet Muffy and that instant connection made our decision so much easier! I have a fenced in area for dogs with a dog house and plenty of shade. Beyond the fenced in area is a bigger backyard that isn’t fenced in on one side. Depending on your dog’s temperament, we have a finished basement with access to the backyard if they prefer the quiet but more social dogs are welcome to eat/sleep/play anywhere in the home they are most comfortable. It is important to note that I have three boys (6,3, and 1). They are very good with animals but we are a loud and busy bunch. We have plenty of spaces in our home away from the noise and kids but our home is active. Our backyard backs up to two families who also have (very friendly) dogs.

A typical day
We are a very active family and spend lots of time outside. Our neighborhood is great for walking and can provide plenty of outdoor time when the weather is cooperating. Dogs are always welcome to tag along for school drop off and quick car rides too!

Availability
I’m currently a SAHM (former 3rd grade teacher) so my schedule is fairly flexible. School drop off (9-10) and pick up (3-4) are the two hours in my day that I’m not available. Available weekends as well!
