Pet care experience
I've cared for animals my whole life and have spent the last 17+ years volunteering at a shelter for cats and kittens. From friendly to shy to stressed, I have worked with cats of all temperaments. Over the years, I have administered many types of medications in forms including pills, liquids, and injections (specifically, insulin for diabetic cats). I have a special needs cat of my own who requires seizure medication three times a day. But I'm not just a cat person! I have experience training puppies and adult dogs and have personal experience with reactive dogs. My 6-year-old mixed breed is reactive, so I continuously work with her and manage her environment. She is super intelligent and is a wonderful agility teammate. We have so much fun together! I also have a special place in my heart for senior dogs. I establish their trust and truly enjoy giving them the love and care they deserve.

Kelly was an excellent communicator and took great care of my pups! She gave me helpful details about how my dogs did during her visit, and she was very careful with them in the ridiculously hot weather! I have one elderly lady and one young puppy and she did a great job with both of them. I will definitely book Kelly again.

Safety is my utmost priority. If I take your dog outside to play or go for a walk, I will make sure your dog is secured with a leash or is within a fenced location. You will not find someone more vigilant to her surroundings than me. I have plenty of experience because when I'm out and about with my own dog, I have to manage her environment and constantly be alert to triggers. I will get to know you and the needs of your dog or cat, and make sure our time together is safe.

Please let me know if your pet has any special health needs, behavioral issues, or triggers that may cause stress. I'd also like to know about treat preferences, toy preferences, and any special routines, so your pet is as comfortable with me as possible.
A typical day
Dogs need physical and mental stimulation, so with permission I will incorporate activities such as walks, playtime, puzzle toys, and training with your dog. Your dog will be smiling from all the fun we have together! Cats also need to play and satisfy their hunting instincts, so let me know what your cat likes to do. Whether it is chasing a laser pointer, fetching a catnip mouse, batting at a feather, or being brushed, I'll be sure your cat enjoys some fun!

Availability
Although working full-time, I can care for your pet on some weekday evenings after 5:00 p.m. and am generally available on weekends. I'm usually available on holidays, as well. Let me know your needs and I will help you if I can!
