My name is Kelly and I look forward to caring for your pup! I live in Geneva, IL with my fiancé Tyler and our 2 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Penny. She is the absolute best part of our family. In our spare time, our activities typically involve anything that we can enjoy with Penny whether it's taking a splash at our local dog park, attending our weekly agility classes, or taking long walks in our neighborhood. Our experience with dogs includes but is not limited to: - Cared for our friend's dogs in our home and overnight when they travel out of town (has varied in length from just a few days to + 2 weeks) - Trusted to walk, potty, and feed our neighbor's 2 corgis and German Shepherd dog when they are gone for extended periods of time - Administered medication and IV treatment to geriatric family dog - Completed Penny's obedience training at Closer Bond in Palatine, IL - Participating in agility classes at Spot On K9 Sports in West Chicago, IL - Daily coat brush, weekly teeth cleaning, and monthly flea/tick protection We fully understand the commitment, attention, and dedication that is involved with being responsible for an animal. In choosing our services, we know you are trusting us with a part of your family and we will do everything we can to make the experience positive for your furry friend. Whether it's frequent updates with photos/ videos, or you just want to know your pup is in good hands, you can be assured your dog will be treated with the utmost care.

Kelly is a friendly, dependable and caring person. She has watched all 3 of our dogs, for day walks. She is reliable and has a lot of energy for playing with any high energy pet. I would highly recommend her for watching after your four-legged family member.
Kelly has done a wonderful job caring for our two pups over the years. She provides very detailed updates and I can tell that my dogs are getting the attention they deserve when they are in her care. Her own dog, Penny, is very friendly and easygoing, and they all love to play!

We have puppy proofed our entire downstairs area and have a gate to block off the upstairs. No food is left out in a reachable area, shoes are put away in the closet, and plenty of safe toys are available for play time. Our downstairs area includes a ramp to the couch, open space for dogs to spend time, and crates (if needed). We also allow dogs upstairs in the various bedrooms if that is preferred. If accidents happen, we understand and have pet friendly supplies to be able to clean up if needed. For potty time, we always follow the same routine of going out the back door where we have a large grass area and back up to a building so we are not anywhere near a street. We always leash Penny inside before we open any doors to make sure she is secured and ready to go. Our leash is a non-retractable leash as approved by our Closer Bond training class. If we do go on walks, we will go out the front door where we have sidewalks and quiet streets to be able to enjoy our neighborhood and potentially run into some pup friends.

A typical day
I absolutely love the outdoors and hope to get some suggestions around where your pup typically likes to go on walks. I've lived in the Chicago area for most of my life so I'm used to bundling up in the winter or finding shady walks during the peak of summer. Currently I live near the Fox River path so Penny and take (almost daily) walks down there to explore. We also love the Eastside dog park in St. Charles since there is a lovely lake included in the dog park area to cool off on the hot days since Penny has a very thick coat. When we have watched other dogs, we will incorporate as many fun activities as we can to exercise and mentally stimulate them. Our neighbor's dog loves to tug and fetch so we typically will have hours of playtime and fun before we even venture out for a walk.

Depending on the distance, I am fairly flexible to accommodate your schedule and assure my calendar is up to date. Consistently free most weeks: Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
