Pet care experience
I am a dog lover but don't have any of my own right now, so I am excited to host Doggy Vacation for your best fluffy friend! I grew up with two maltese dogs, but haven't had any of my own since. However, I have been dog sitting for friends regularly since 2015 and have a ton of experience caring for other people's pets in my home and theirs. I'll be sure that your dog is safe, exercised, and loved, and has a blast while you are out of town. I work from home full time so I'll be home most of the day to keep your pup company (and if I'm staying at your house, I will be working from there). I'm happy to watch puppies and to meet special dietary needs and other needs as well—just ask!

I’ve booked Kelly a number of times for my dog Jackson, who is a senior with various health issues. Kelly’s followed a varied med schedule with him, including oral meds that my dog doesn’t like. She sends pictures and updates, is flexible with schedules, and my dog is always excited to see her!
Kelly provided excellent care for my dog. She gave her lots of walks, play time and TLC. Pictures and comments about my dog were very much appreciated. Dealing with Kelly was easy and professional. I picked up a very happy dog. I highly recommend Kelly and will definitely use her again.
Kelly did a great job house sitting and taking care of our three dogs while we were away. We came home to a clean house and happy well-walked dogs!

I live in a townhouse. I have a small fenced-in area where your dog can go outside, but I'm also right next to a larger grassy area where I can take your dog out on-leash. I have a series of trails near my house that I often walk at. Dogs are not allowed in my bed, but they may enjoy sleeping in their doggy bed, crate, or on my couch, depending on where they are most comfortable!

Please let me know what your dogs needs are for walking, eating, playing, frequency of going outside, etc., and if they have any special needs. I'm happy to sit for puppies as long as I know their needs and where they are in the training stage. I will not sit for dogs from multiple households at once, and I don't have any of my own, so your pet(s) will have my undivided attention!
A typical day
I'll try to customize your pet's vacation based on their needs and preferences! I love going for walks on the trails around my house, and am also able to take dogs for bigger hikes, if desired. At home, your pet will get lots of pets, and we can play their favorite games (such as fetch and tug).

Availability
I am currently working from home full time, so I will be around during weekdays to keep your pet company. I'm able to walk your dog more or less frequently depending on his or her needs, but typically I will go for shorter walks in the morning and evening and a longer walk (if desired) in the early afternoon. I also have a small fenced-in porch area where I can let your dog out as frequently as needed. On weekends, if your dog is a well behaved hiker and you'd like me to, I'd love to take him or her with me on an on-leash hike! In general, I'd like to be able to leave my house for 3–4 hours at a time on occasion, but this is negotiable depending on your pet's needs! I love to play fetch and tug at regular intervals to get a break from my work and to snuggle with your dog on the couch!
