Pet care experience
I've always loved dogs! I grew up with animals, and currently have an amazing fluffy white mutt named Finn. We love walks, naps, and romping around! I am currently a stay at home mother, so your pup will get all the attention they need or want! I am available for one off or regular boarding. I recently took time off from Rover.com to focus on my family after having a new baby. While it was wonderful to spend time as a human family, our family all missed our "visiting dogs" and are excited to see our friends again, and make new ones! :) I have a small fenced yard and am centrally located to two large, dog friendly parks. My husband is also a major dog lover and is excited to get in some belly rubs! When your dog comes to visit or stay, they are our family! And my whole family chips in to make them comfortable and happy during their visit. My husband provides high energy dogs with extra runs, is always up for fetch or frisbee, and is great at brushing, combing, and getting muddy paws clean! My six year old firmly believes she can teach dogs to read, and can often be found taking pictures of our visitors or drawing their pictures to send home as a special treat. :)

I have a small fenced yard that is optimized for dog safety. I also have my home divided into areas for different dogs on days when we have multiple visitors, and I provide constant, some would say unrelenting, supervision. All visitors are separated and secured for meals, bedtime, and any time where a visitor may be feeling particularly vulnerable.

Anything you think is important, as well as your expectations of me. I sometimes have multiple dogs at a time- please tell me if you are expecting a solo only stay, as I have regular day clients I'll need to work with and want to make sure everyone is clear on their expectations. Due to recent experiences providing care, I am no longer able to provide care for large or giant dogs (60ish pounds or larger). I can of course make exceptions as needed and still welcome all former clients with larger dogs! :)
A typical day
I adore dogs and love to go on adventures, but I also like to be responsive to the needs and personalities of the friends staying with us! Depending on the day and the dog, we could be down by the riverfront taking a walk, hiking on Bald Hill, snoozing on the couch, playing fetch in our backyard, or doing regular errands together. I have one lovely dog who comes with me when I deliver meals to elderly people once a week, and it is a match made in heaven! Even during COVID-19, people would go to their windows to see her and wave, and the dog would be SO excited. It truly was a great thing to see. :)

Availability
Animal care is where my heart is! My husband also works a flexible schedule from home so is able to cover for me if I need to do something last minute. Sometimes he sneaks out of his work for a few minutes just for some belly rubs! :)
