Attentive, reliable, and loving

Pet care experience

Apart from watching friends and families animals in my free time when needed, I have my own pup, Cooper! He is 7 years old and I’ve had him since I was 14. I’ve been his main caretaker this ever since. Cooper is a super loving dog, but he can also be a lot of work. That being said, it’s never work when it’s with mans best friend. However, due to him having severe allergies, it also gave me lot’s of experience helping him while he is on the mend. I am able to administer medication both orally and through the ear canal for those tough infections. He also is prone to hot spots, but I’ve since learned the best ways to make him as comfortable as possible through his healing process. Because of this, I feel confident if your dog needs any special care or attention I will be able to do so in a calm, careful, and loving manner. I also do the usually, walking, feeding, and bathing of him of course, though I also take him to the groomer during shedding season. Finally, I would also like the point out that I drive a 4Runner, with lot’s of room to transport dogs if needed.

Kelly has a genuine heart and love for dogs that all dogs can feel. Kelly is just as outgoing and personable with owners. She loves to love on dogs of all breeds. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for assistance with their pet.

Safety, trust & environment

I have housesat for many people before because they know I am responsible, confident, and reliable when it comes to being in their home. I have much experience taking care of animals and it is something that I love to do. Both your house and your animal will be safe with me. If I am at your place of living for long amounts of time, I will probably just be doing homework, listening to music, and playing with your pet! I’m sure we will have a great time together! I will always put you and your animals priorities first and am easily able to follow instruction. Most likely I will come to your place of living to take care of your animals. If for any reason you need to have your pet here, I do have a dog as I stated before. He is fine with other animals, but does tend to have only dog syndrome (aka gets a little irritated if he’s with other animals for prolonged amounts of time), so I prefer to not have other animals here though I can if needed, and if that is the case, I have a home with a pretty large fenced back yard with grass for your pet.

Information Kelly L. would like to know about your pet

Important information about your dog includes: Their feeding habits (how many times a day, how much) Their potty habits (how often do they need to go outside) Their usual energy levels Their temperament How they feel about other animals How they feel about strangers Anything more I can do for them to make them as happy and comfortable as possible.

A typical day

Since I live in Sandy, I love to take dogs out on the tickle creek trail! The trail goes on for a couple of miles and has multiple places for your dog to play on the water as well! When just at home and the pups are feeling playful, I can take them out and throw the ball (if there’s a fence of course), though I do also do the occasional tug-of-war. Anything your dog wants to do, I will do it with them! It’s helpful for you to let me know their favorite activities so I can make sure to highlight those during my time with your pup.

I am currently a full time college student, however, this is all online. If I do house sitting for you, my schooling will not effect the hours I will be able to be at your house. The only days I am pretty unavailable are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as I take those days to visit my family. I also work a part time job, but the hours are flexible and I will let you know what times I am there throughout the day. I usually only work about 5 hours at a time, typically from 11-4 about three days a week, but I will take priority to your dogs care to these work hours and I am able to schedule around it.
