Pet care experience
Hello! We are Mark and Kelly and we are connoisseurs of fine, pampered pups. While we love dogs of all sizes we specialize in small to medium sized canines. Our home is like a small dog boutique. Pets are family to us, and we love and interact with our animals all day. We will treat your pet like our family and they will get lots of pets and loving. I live in a family owned building in Lakeview and my unit is a large three bedroom apartment. I have two dogs, Marvin and Sally, a betta fish, four mystery snails, and two ghost shrimp. We are very lucky to have a city lot sized backyard adjacent to our building. The yard is entirely fenced in and is larger than most dog parks in the area. Our outdoor space is definitely a defining feature and provides ample room for running, pop up pools for hot summer days, and plenty of shade to relax outside. Each new client gets a complimentary pet portrait. Missing your pets? It is scary to leave your pet with a stranger! I am honored and ensure that your pet will be treated like the angel baby that they are during their stay. I am happy to send photos, text updates or even video chat sessions while you are away so you can see your furry friend. I am home 24/7 as I work remote. I look forward to meeting your pet.
Reviews
Kelly has consistently been a wonderful sitter for our dog. She’s responsive, thoughtful, and we always have a happy dog when we come to pick him up.
Kelly was a great babysitter. She was very attentive and loving. I think my dog had a blast!!
Highly recommend Kelly and Mark! They took great care of our two terrier-chihuahua mixes and were super communicative and flexible with scheduling. Would definitely send our dogs to them again.
Such a wonderful and loving home! Kelly and her family looked after our morkie for a week. She is very responsive and sends daily picture updates. Had total peace of mind that our doggie was in good hands.

We are perfectly comfortable administering medications. Our eldest dog Marvin has to take eye drops and Phenobarbital twice a day to control his epilepsy, and Mark has had cats that required administrating medication. We are comfortable administering medications as long as you provide instructions and consent. Please let us know of any triggers or anxiety your pet may have. It is important to us to make sure each animal is happy and stress free during their stay.

Information Kelly K. would like to know about your pet
What types of treats does your dog enjoy? What is your dog's personality like? Does your dog like other dogs? Does the dog have any specific quirks? For example my dog Marvin does not like for strangers to pick him up, he prefers for people to sit down and let him go to them.
A typical day
In addition to walks, play time, and unlimited yard access— Kelly is an artist and enjoys doing things like themed photoshoots, painting pet portraits, making TikTok videos, and creating one of a kind memories of your pet for you. Do you ever wish you had a Jurassic park inspired photo of your dog? Wish no more— we have dinosaurs and a terrific sense of staging. Thanks to a generous grant of $25 from Kelly’s mother and the kind employees of Walgreens PhotoLab, our home now houses the Dog Art Institute of Chicago. This mini museum show cases some of the finest artwork in the world, in miniature, at dog eye level. All dogs deserve culture.

I love animals and have been obsessed with dogs all of my life. I got my first dog when I was in the second grade, a Chihuahua named Peppy, who was both menacing and completely adorable. My love for Chihuahuas has been lifelong. We spend a significant part of the day in our yard sitting on the patio and gardening. During high school, Kelly volunteered at local shelters and is comfortable handling all types of dogs with all types of personality.
