I’m currently on a gap year and a rising senior at St. John’s College. I’ve been a dog lover since before I could walk. I grew up with two very large golden retrievers who were my best friends. In 2012, my family adopted another golden called Jack who passed away early 2021. Now, we have a black lab rescue called Lenny! Dog/house sitting! - I believe dogs are most comfortable in their own homes and sticking to their own routines, so dog sitting is the best way to care for your pet and keep them happy. I like to learn all the details of a dog’s routine and stick to it as closely as possible. I make sure the house is well secured, clean, and maintained while my clients are away. I make sure mail comes inside safely and chores are taken care of during my stay. Dog walking! - I can walk for many miles with your pup! My phone is always on me in case of emergency and my first priority is making sure your pet is happy and safe. Dog check-ins! - Able to check in on your furry friend a few days a week, as we can discuss. I love playing with animals and have been taking care of dogs my whole life. I’ve cared for breeds ranging from golden retrievers to friends’ pugs and boxers. They all deserve the most care possible.

I could not speak more highly of Kelly as a dog sitter. She watched our 4 year old dog and 11 month old puppy at our house for 5 days. The puppy can be a bit wild and our dog a bit fussy with eating. She managed this without issue. She kept the house very clean and provided regular updates and photos. I will absolutely use Kelly again as a dog sitter.
Kelly was a pleasure to work with. She provided our dog with excellent, loving care and sent us pictures every day. We were happy to find someone who would stay at our house with him since it was his first time being away from us. I would gladly have Kelly sit for Odie again and highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone to take great care of your dog.
Kelly was so sweet with my pup! She sent photos and updates and he was so calm and happy when I got home. She also left the house perfectly clean! So glad we found her she’s great!
Our dog Scout loved Kelly! Kelly walked her over the summer. Kelly was reliable and always cheerful even on those really hot days! She was super sweet with Scout. We recommend her!

Back at my parents’ house Lenny is happy with lots of fenced yard to run around and play in. Because I’m at school and don’t have access to that space, I can walk and check in on pets. I’m an experienced walker who always is checking in on the dog’s interactions with the environment: What they’re sniffing at, how they respond to strangers, and their habits on sidewalks. I’m experienced with working with dogs who need to stop at every sidewalk corner, sit, and wait until I give command that it’s safe to keep walking.

A typical day
I’ve worked with high energy puppies who need hours of play time to be worn out. I love taking dogs to SJC campus (with your consent!) to run around and play fetch. On campus there’s usually a considerable amount of people around so they’ll get great socialization too! I’m also happy to go for walks around your neighborhood with your dog.

Availability
I’m able to check in with pets as scheduled. I’m currently on break from school so I have plenty of time to spend with your friend, keeping them company all day. Occasionally I have errands, but I’m happy to work with clients and agree on how long their pets can be left alone. Let me know what works best for you and we can coordinate accordingly!
