I've been housesitting/petsitting since 2007. I was living in Alaska at the time and it is an actual profession there because so many people leave for the winter. I discovered that I liked being around a variety of dogs and being able to provide an alternative to a boarding facility. Boarding is a necessary option sometimes, but I believe that animals are happiest when in their own familiar environment. When I moved to Chattanooga, I worked in animal control for multiple years, then as a vet assistant in a spay/neuter clinic. I have experience with separation anxiety and with administering medicine, both orally and subcutaneously. I require that animals MUST be spayed or neutered if they are old enough.
