I have wanted a dog my whole life. First, it was my parents who said "no" and now my husband says "not yet." I would love to share my adoration with your dog while I eagerly await the day I can have my own! I spent a year walking a medium sized dog in the Lakeview neighborhood. I also have dog sat for friends. I truly enjoyed these experiences and felt I had a great connection with the pups! Two summers ago, I foster a dog through PAWS. She came to me right off the street and was returned 2 weeks later to PAWS house trained, clean, and spoiled rotten! Most recently this summer, I fostered a Chihuahua Terrier mix and a Pomeranian before they participated in adoption events. As a teacher, I have a lot of free time during the summer and can take your pup out for lots of walks. During the school year, your dog would need to be able to stay at home on its own for at least 7 hours. I live in a duplex down in a 6 unit condo building. There is some foot traffic as we are the first unit. This can be difficult for dogs who bark to alert you of visitors.
