Veterinary Professional & Sitter

Pet care experience

From nurturing neighborhood pets as a child to a decade-long career within the veterinary field and animal rescue realm, my journey has always revolved around caring for animals. In my 10+ years of pet sitting, I've had the joy of tending to a diverse array of companions—dogs, cats, reptiles, farm animals, and exotics. What truly sets my service apart is my expertise in medical pet sitting. As a seasoned veterinary technician, I specialize in caring for pets with unique needs—whether they're recovering from surgery, managing medical conditions, or require specialized attention. Administering medications, handling injections, and providing attentive care are second nature to me. Beyond technical skills, my approach is defined by my warm, calming energy. I've often found that even the most anxious pets tend to gravitate towards me, allowing me to establish trust and ensure their comfort while you're away. Your cherished fur-friends will receive not just care, but genuine affection and a sense of security. I take great pride in being entrusted with the well-being of your beloved companions. Rest assured, they'll be in capable and caring hands, receiving the same level of attention and love they're accustomed to in your absence. I look forward to providing a nurturing environment for your pets and granting you peace of mind during your time away!

She was great. We have a big family and she took care of everybody with no issues.

Kelly was absolutely wonderful while she took care of my two labs while I was gone for over a week. She even paid special attention to one of the dogs who had a recent surgery. She also took great care of my home while I was gone, including shoveling snow and taking out the trash bins! I cannot recommend Kelly enough to watch your pets while you are gone!

I’ve known Kelly 15+ years and she has always been the best with animals. From veterinary medicine, to wild life-rehab and fostering and rescuing countless animals, Kelly has done it all. She is always the person I can count on when I have found an animal in need, even when shelters and rescues have turned me down. She loves animals and they all seem to love and gravitate toward her! Couldn’t think of a better person to trust any fur babies with. She is a natural when it comes to anything to do with animals and was born to work with them in all ways. :)

Kelly took great care of my cat and left wondering if I was not doing things right. My cat loved her

Safety, trust & environment

When boarding within my own home, your pet will be welcomed by my two gentle, easy-going dogs, Benji & Koda, who always love having a new friend around the house. Your pet is welcome to cuddle up with us on the couch or make use of one of the many cozy nesting spots around the house. Outdoors I have a very large backyard (several acres, unfenced) for exploring. Leashes are always used with dogs to ensure their safety. If your pup likes walks, I live right along the Clinton River trail - perfect for a quick walk or a long hike. Bonus: My local ice cream shop offers free pup-cups! When boarding within your house, your pet and your environment will be treated with utmost respect. I always take basic household duties into account - including collecting mail, taking out trash, watering plants, and tidying up to ensure your home is left spotless for your return.
