Pet care experience
I am a teacher and I have been living in San Luis Obispo, CA for over 25 years. I lead a very active life and I love to hike in the hills around this beautiful area. I recently lost my dog Hazel, my lab/aussie mix, who was my partner in crime for nearly 16 years. She and I loved hiking together and playing on the beach. I love dogs and would love to take care of yours. I would be more than happy to take your dog on hikes and give your dog the very best care and love in my home. I have a large fenced yard. I have no other pets at this time, so your dog will get my undivided attention and will be welcomed into my home with lots of ear scratches and belly rubs. I work full time during the week. I am available for overnights on weekdays. I am avaiable for doggie day care and overnights on weekends. I have a large fenced yard and no other pets. On weekdays I will be at work most of the day, so your dog will need to be ok in the yard for the day. On weekends I have plenty of time to go on hikes, go to the beach, and provide lots of playtime and snuggles. Your dog is welcome to sleep inside on their bed. I am also happy to let well behaved dogs up on the couch for snuggles. :)

Kelly is the best! It was our first time leaving our dog Rio with anyone and Kelly made us feel so at ease. She is experienced and sent us regular updates/pictures during his stay. We fully enjoyed our vacation knowing that Rio was in good hands :)
Kelly was absolutely amazing and took such good care of our dogs while we were out of town. She spent a lot of quality time with our dogs and took them on several hikes and pack walks so they were nice and tired when they came home. She also treated a small wound that she found on one of our dogs and let us know so we could keep an eye on it! Felt she took such great care of our dogs and would highly recommend!
Kelly was so accommodating, friendly and great with our pup. She was communicative and sent updates/pictures. We look forward to booking with her again!

I have a big fenced yard with lots of space to play and a shaded patio to relax under. Dogs are more than welcome inside when I'm at home and I'm happy to let them up on the couch for snuggles.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs (dietary, medical, etc), if they get along well other dogs, if they are house trained, and if you are comfortable with your dog staying in a fenced yard alone for a short time. I will never leave your dog in the yard for an extended time or overnight.
A typical day
I love to go for hikes in the hills and walks around my neighborhood. I will make sure your dog gets at least 1 walk each day. I live near Cerro San Luis and Bishop's Peak and if your dog is a hiker I'd love to take him or her hiking with me. I also love going to Avila Dog Beach and would love to take your dog out there to play. I am happy to take 2 dogs at the same time if they are well behaved and from the same household.

I work full time as a teacher during the week so your dog will need to be comfortable spending the day alone in the yard. On weekends and holidays I have plenty of time for hikes, trips to the beach, and plenty of playtime and snuggles.
