Hi, my name is Kelly and I am a graduate student at IU medical school studying physiology. I have 3 years of experience as a veterinary assistant performing tasks such as blood draws, client education, assisting in surgery, administration of medication & injections/fluids, and radiographs. My experience in veterinary medicine gives me a sharp eye to look out for any health problems that arise with your pet. I also am familiar with many medications and can give injections, pills, topical creams, powders, eye drops, or subcutaneous fluids. I also have no problem trimming nails or cleaning ears. I have my own dog, Bree, who will be present when I pet sit your dog in my home. If you want me to pet sit your dog in your home, she can come with me or stay at home. She is a bernedoodle who LOVES other dogs and gets along with small or large dogs her size. She is very respectful, however, and plays on her own if the other dog needs some space. Although I live in an apartment, I take my dog on 2-3 long walks a day around the canal. Your dog would get plenty of exercise and play time. I am a full time graduate student, but my schedule is very flexible and I spend most of my time studying and working from home. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, I am only gone 2-4 hours out of the day. On Wednesdays and Fridays, I am home all day. I have experience sitting for families with horses, dogs, cats, hedgehogs, snakes, and birds. I am a huge animal lover and would take great care of your "fur baby" while you are gone :)
