Pet care experience
I have always been passionate about connecting with animals, learning to communicate with them by staying attentive to their behaviors and mannerisms. I currently have a 120 lb great dane and a 12 lb cat so you know I don’t discriminate breed or size :) I am currently in the process of receiving certifications for feline training & behavior as well as canine training & behavior. I love my schedule to be full of spending quality time with animals!

She took great care of my fur babies and even took time to get to know my shy one. She also provided pictures and great communication!
Astrid took great care of my pups and helped them be secure and happy while I was out of town. When I’m in town and she walks them, I can tell by the way they greet her what a big treat it is for them to spend time with her. I appreciate Astrid’s sensitivity and creativity and skill in interacting with my two dogs who are quite different from one another in energy level so that they both get their needs met for activity and exercise and affection.
astrid was awesome!! sent a bunch of pics of my sweet lady, even wrote up little excerpts for how she was doing (which i really appreciated!) will def book again :)
Astrid has checked in on my cat through multiple drop-in visits while I was out of town. Astrid has always gone above and beyond - helping us deter ants from my cat’s food, leaving personalized notes that encapsulate how my cat is doing, and always taking cute pictures. I would highly recommend Astrid for anyone needing cat care

Unfortunately my pets (although very sweet) do not always enjoy the company of other pets - I am working on socializing them but for now I’m not able to accept visits in my home. I make sure to keep your space clean and safe for your animals and respect any boundaries you may have. With my midday schedule oftentimes being filled with recurring drop-in/dog-walking visits, I am rarely able to accept overnight housesitting requests. My OCD cat also relies on me coming home to her after the day - my routine is very important to her

Let me know if your pet is anxious or aggressive with other pets and if they have any special needs so that I can plan activities that are best suited for them. Meet & greets are genuinely the best way for me to figure out ahead of time what I need to focus on during our visits. Plus I find that animals are less likely to be spooked by me coming into their home if they’re able to recognize me & have met me while being with their owners
A typical day
If your pet has any favorite toys I would love to play with them indoors and outdoors. If they have high needs when it comes to affection/attention I can focus on that. All our fur babies have different wants & routines so our visits will depend on your pets’ energy levels and comfortability. I do my best to read their behaviors in order to match their energy levels.

My schedule is pretty much set up around pet sitting at the moment! Reaching out to me as early in advance as possible would be best so that I can plan, however I do accept same day requests when I’m available.
