Pet care experience
I have had pets in my house since I was a baby. I have had a yellow lab, border collie, fish, frogs, guinea pigs, and birds. My roommates in college and post-college have had dogs, and I have helped take care of them. Friends and family frequently ask me to watch their dogs when they are out of town. I have taken care of little dogs and large dogs of all ages! I love to take dogs on walks and runs and play with them in the yard or at a dog park. I watched The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan a lot growing up, so I have always tried to incorporate his methods (being calm and assertive) with my own pets in training them.

I cannot have pets in my own home, so I only offer services where I go to my client's home. I ask my clients for expectations and hopes for how they want me to care for their pet. I know it might take some time for a pet to get used to me, so I make sure to build trust before going on a long walk or playing. Then, when the pet seems comfortable, I will walk them as much as they want to. When they want to go home, I either keep playing with them or let them rest--whatever the pet needs from me!

I think it's important to know what the dog's normal routines are and how he/she adjusts to new routines. Any details about their behavior (whether that is hyperactive or very chill) is important so I can be the person your dog needs!
A typical day
I love to go on walks and runs with dogs! I love playing in general, whether that's frisbee, catch, or tug of war. I love walking through parks and on trails, but neighborhood walks are great too. I also love teaching dogs tricks and having them show off what they know!
