Vet Tech Providing in-home Pet Care

Pet care experience

I am excited to provide personalized pet care at home for all your pets needs. I have been providing specialized services for patients at your local veterinary hospital, for fosters in rescue organizations, and for neighborhood pets. Each pet harbors its own personality and need. I enjoy working with all animals and my 15 years of experience in the veterinary field allows me to provide the comfort and guidance your pet craves while you are out of the house. Please reach out with any specific questions. I am more than happy to assist with medications, senior care, post surgical needs, grooming, and energy release. I “officially" started my animal career in 2009 as I graduated in New Hampshire with my Veterinary Technology Degree. I've spent my career as an animal surgical nurse with ER and ICU experience. I moved to North Carolina to assist in animal rescue needs and started my journey at The Humane Society of Charlotte. My main focus was their TNR programs and Dogs off Chains, while providing surgical services and pet education to the community. I brought that interest to Eastern North Carolina over seven years ago and have had a passion to help the feral cat population. I've assisted multiple rescues in the area with fostering and had a personal interest in helping a Havlock, NC community with their feral population. I have fostered and rehomed 30+ cats/kittens with the help of the rescues and Veterinarians. This has also lead us to our dog rescues. The past two years I have focused on dog behavior and anxiety. I enjoy working with all pets and am glad to be a positive part of their life, even during their most stressful time at the vet office. When I'm not involved in animal rescue, my family loves enjoying the outdoors and exploring our new town of Exeter! We recently relocated from coastal Carolina and are happy to be back in the Seacoast area! I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pets.

Kellie was amazing! She took excellent care of our cat peanut, left detailed notes following her visit and was extremely flexible with timing. I would highly recommend Kellie to any pet owner.

All pets have their own behavioral needs. My experience allows me to adjust to those needs to make your pet as comfortable and happy as possible. As I build a relationship with you and your pet I only provide services in and around your home or trips to trails/parks/beach. *Long term clients will have the option of boarding at my home if applicable.* The services I provide vary depending on what you would like to come out of the visit. I can offer quick potty time leashed in the back yard, or play time running around a fenced in yard. I can provide a quick visit for a treat and medication administration or a long trail walk. I look forward to discussing any questions you may have to help tailor the service to you and your pet.

Information Kellie K. would like to know about your pet

When requesting a meet and greet or dog walking session please provide any medical needs, and any important behavioral traits (dog aggressive, toy eater, diet restrictions, ect.) This information is used to better get to know your fur baby and will help me provide better service.

A typical day

The type of visit can vary for all animals. I look forward to discussing your pets interests and providing the perfect visit for your furry friend. I offer free brushing, *nail trims, and massages. *Safety is a priority for your pets and myself during visits. Due to some canine aggression during nail trims this service is only provided for dogs that will allow me to work with their paws.
