Unlimited cuddles— free of charge!
Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Kelli, and I have had a hand in raising several well-behaved dogs. In September 2018, we lost our 9 year-old chihuahua/dachshund, King, and our 14 year-old Great Pyrenees, Duke, the following June. Missing the sound of puppy paws clicking on the hardwood and the over-joyed greetings at my front door, I decided to start Rover because I wasn’t quite ready for a new pup of my own, but the little puppy-sitting I did for my friends wasn’t enough for the love I have for dogs. A house just isn’t a home without a dog, and so I got my start on Rover! After a few years, I was finally ready to bring home a new member of the family and now have a 2 year old Aussie/American Bulldog who brings plenty of laughter and sweet snuggles to our home! Even so, we love nothing more than getting to spend time with our doggy friends. In high school, I spent my mornings volunteering at a pet hospital for a year and have plenty of experience in puppy training (non-certified), so if you have a puppy that’s still in training, you don’t have to worry about them forgetting anything they’ve learned while you’re away. For daycare, we have a very large fenced in yard with plenty of space for running and playing. Tater and I love hiking and going to the park, so let me bring your pup/s with us and they can get some good exercise in their routine! (Harnesses requested for field trip attendees.) If you have a chonky-boy that only runs when he hears snacks, that’s okay too! I offer unlimited cuddle sessions for no additional fees. Outside of that, you and your pup’s comfort is the most important thing while you’ve away. Please reach out to me with any questions or special requests you may have!

Kelli was amazing! She kept Aeri for a whole week and I was so confident in her care the entire time! She sent just the right amount of updates to give me piece of mind and enjoy my vacation. She was very attentive to her care. Also, I don’t think Aeri has ever played so much in her life she was so well taken care of. As hard as it is to say bye to Aeri for trips I know exactly where she is going next time! Thank you Kelli!
Kelli was so, so, so great! She clearly loves dogs and is also so knowledgeable about them. I felt totally at ease leaving our 6 month old puppy with her and knew she would be very well taken care of. Kelli was also extremely patient as our pup is still learning manners and can be a lot to handle at times! She sent daily updates and multiple pictures every day which I loved. Would recommend her to anyone!!
Kelli was amazing and so professional. She watched our dog and cat while we were on vacation for a week, and she was one of the best pet sitters we’ve ever had. She followed all of our instructions and made our pets feel safe and loved. I would highly recommend Kelli to anyone!
Very fun and accommodating. Thanks

Safety is my number one priority, so I will always be insistent on going over daily care one on one before your stay! Tater is a very friendly boy who loves to balance his energy to play with lots of cuddles. He frequently visits doggy daycare and dog parks, so he is very socialized with every age, size, and breed of dog! I understand most dogs have some sensitivities and/or allergies, so always before your stay, together we’ll go over your dogs usual diet including whether or not they’re allowed certain dog-safe human foods, if they have sensitivities to new treats, and if they have any allergies. Next to safety, my next highest priority is to offer what boarding facilities cannot— the comfort of being at home, especially during overnight stays. Let me know what furniture your dog is and isn’t allowed on, and I’m happy to accommodate.

Information Kelli Y. would like to know about your pet
Having dogs my whole life, I understand the importance of keeping them on their routine— let me know what yours is so I can do my best to keep their schedule as consistent as possible! Additionally, I understand that it only takes a day to develop an unwanted habit, so I also like to go over any restrictions they may have (e.x. staying off specific furniture, no people food to avoid begging, practicing a sit & release command before mealtime, etc). In general, I like to use our first meeting to give us the chance to discuss if your dog has special needs that require specific attention and any bad habits that you’re trying to prevent. Additional notes: Accident Policy: Accidents happen, and it comes with having a dog! I do try to be as understanding and lenient as possible when a dog potties in the house. Unfortunately, as a renter, I do have to be cautious of damages to not only the carpet, but also the drywall, cabinets, and doors from leg lifters. As a regular dog sitter, all urine and feces need to be properly and thoroughly removed with enzyme cleaning solutions in order to prevent future dogs, especially potty-training puppies, from smelling the urine and thinking it's okay to potty inside. Because of these reasons, I reserve the right to charge $5 per accident if it becomes a repeat offense. Since it is normal for dogs to act out of character due to anxiety of being in a new environment or even get nervous tummy aches from being separated from their owners, I do allow two accidents before the policy applies. The $5 fee is strictly to cover the cost of cleaning products and tools necessary to remove any urine, feces, and stains. To ensure the urine scent is fully removed, I first treat with Nature's Miracle and then run over the area with a carpet cleaner to fully remove from carpet padding. I will reach out after the first and second accident to see if there's anything I can change in their routine to take preventative measures, and you will be notified of any additional accidents thereafter. PUPPY EXEMPTION: Puppies under 1 year of age are exempt from the policy above as accidents usually occur at the fault of the caretaker not following a strict potty break schedule. I accept full responsibility for any accidents during your puppy's potty training to assure you that I am doing everything possible to help your pup form good habits and set them up for success! If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, do not hesitate to reach out. Easter: I do observe Easter as a holiday. Please note that Easter weekends will follow my holiday rates and that Rover will NOT update it automatically. Thank you for your understanding!
A typical day
We have a VERY large backyard! The perfect space for your fur-baby to pedal to the metal and burn off that energy without worry of them escaping. Also a great spot for picky-poopers who are specific about where they do their #2's! In warmer weather, we love splashing around for some puppy pool time in Tater’s kiddie pool! I often like to go on hikes at Castlewood State Park- if you having a hiking buddy at home, let me know and I'd be happy to have them along for the adventure!

I’m currently working from home, so I have a very flexible schedule for loads of play (and nap) time. I’d love to work with you and your schedule to see what works best for both parties. Currently not offering in-home sitting at clients’ houses because of my own dog, but if absolutely necessary, I have family that love to spend time with Tater, so we can potentially work something out— just ask!
