Bark Bliss: Expert Dog Care

Pet care experience

Hey there! Animal lover extraordinaire here and proud dog parent to Olive, my Australian cattle dog/Pit Bull Terrier mix. With a passion for pups and a love for long walks, I'm here to offer top-notch care for your furry family members. From playful puppies to wise old seniors, I've got you covered—I treat every dog like they're my own, showering them with love, care, and plenty of belly rubs. I’m also the parent to 3 cats so I can handle any cat sitting and/or in-home visit needs!

Kelli did a fantastic job caring for our cats. She quickly familiarized herself with their specific dietary needs, including supplements and snacks, and maintained their feeding schedule meticulously. Kelli consistently sent us daily updates with photos and videos, ensuring we were well-informed and at ease while we were away. Her dedication and reliability during her week-long commitment were truly commendable. We greatly appreciate her effort and were able to enjoy our time knowing the cats were in good hands and despite falling ill at the end of that week, but she showed up every day, so thank you so much!

Kelli was great with my animals when I was away! Would definitely use her again in the future! Would recommend to anyone that is looking for someone to care for their animals while they are away

Your fur baby's happiness is my top priority! I'll stick to your rules like a pro and make sure everything's covered. Being a dog mom, I get it – routines matter, and trusting someone with your furry kid is a big deal. Let's meet up for a chat, on the house, to make sure everyone's cool with the plan.

Information Kelli M. would like to know about your pet

I’d like to know a few things ahead of our first visit or walk, just to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for both the pup and myself! 1. Temperament- are they friendly, shy, reactive, etc. (I have a reactive dog myself so no worry there!) 2. Health considerations- does the pup have any physical limitations or is there anything they’re allergic too 3. Leash behavior- how comfortable are they on a leash, do they pull, etc 4. Training commands- are they familiar with basic training commands (sit, stay, heel, any recall, etc) 5. Triggers- anything that may trigger them to become agitated while walking 6. Treats/Rewards- what are their favorite treats so we can a) become besties and b) encourage good behavior while walking!

A typical day

My favorite: Outdoor adventures! I can take the pup on stimulating walks in the neighborhood, local parks, or hiking trails to allow them to explore new sights, smells, and sounds. I love the outdoors so I can walk as long (or as short) as you need! My dog is OBSESSED with playtime (especially fetch) so I’ll orchestrate some fun, interactive play sessions to keep the dogs mentally and physically stimulated. A trained pup is a happy pup! So if you’d like, I can work on basic obedience training commands such as sit, stay, come, and heel, as well as fun tricks to keep their minds engaged and reinforce good behavior. As an owner of a working dog (which basically means nonstop energy), I find that physical activity sometimes won’t tire her out. With that, I’m a huge fan of mental enrichment: I can set up scavenger hunts, hide treats around the house or yard, or use interactive feeding toys to challenge the dogs' problem-solving skills and keep them mentally stimulated. With all that being said, it’s about balance. I can provide a healthy dose of relaxation time and provide plenty of opportunities for the dogs to unwind and relax and sneak in some solid cuddle sessions (if they like it!)
