Pet care experience
I have lived with and cared for dogs as far back as I can remember. They have always been a part of my family's lives but are missing in my own as I do not own one currently. I love watching other people's dogs as a way to satisfy that desire. I enjoy walking, running, and hiking with them as well as taking them to parks or on car rides. I do best with dogs that need a moderate level of exercise as I am away at work most days but can play with them before and after. I am happiest when there is a smiling face looking up at me with a wagging tail behind it. The companionship they offer is incomparable! I have some flexibility at work and in some circumstances can take a dog in with me. I am also a homebody and spend most of my after work hours at home.

Kelly took excellent care of our pup, Selena over a long weekend! She asked great questions when getting to know our dog at the meet and greet to ensure her safety and well-being, and made sure to send regular updates and fun photos of their adventures. Kelly handled all of Selena’s “quirks” wonderfully (e.g., prone to injury as a tripod). She is clearly a kind, responsible, and fun animal lover - we sincerely hope to book with her again next time we go out of town.
Great stay. Kelli was awesome with my pooch. He was happy and comfortable when I picked him up. Recommend highly.
Harley and I knew immediately when we met Kelli for the first time, that it was the perfect match. I was not disappointed. Kelli was kind, patient, and really cared about Harley’s well being. She sent daily pictures of their journey togethe, and I felt at peace the entire time. I highly recommend her! Thanks again Kelli!

I like to provide a lot of outdoor time at the beginning and end of the day. Dogs should be ok with winding down around 8 and ready for bedtime around 9. They are welcome to sleep on the floor in my bedroom. I do not allow dogs on the couch or on my bed.

My preference is for dogs to be active but disciplined and at least partially crate trained. I have a large backyard and would like your dog to be comfortable being alone in it for a few minutes if I need to run in for a quick restroom break. I'd also like to request that your dog does not come over in need of a bath unless you are able to drop them off early enough so I can plan to give them one.
A typical day
I enjoy walking, running, and hiking as well as playing ball in my backyard. I do best with dogs that need a moderate level of exercise as I am away at work most days but can play with them before and after. I prefer dogs to be at least fairly well leash trained and ok with other dogs as I like to be out and about on trails and along the marina shoreline in San Leandro.

Availability
I work full-time and am away for a large part of the day, most days of the week. I'm an early riser so I like to start my day with a walk or throwing the ball around in the backyard around 5:00 am. I'm home from work by 4:30 and like to spend the afternoons on a trail or walking around the neighborhood.
