Pet care experience
Hey! So excited to meet all your lovely pets. I have been caring for animals since I was 15 working in a boarding kennels and cattery for over 4 years. At the same time, I completed my Level 3 Extended National Diploma in Animal Management with Science (where I gained a lot of practical experience with exotic and farm species). Since then, I have worked in a groomers, volunteered at dog training classes and attempted work experience at a vets (not for me!). Alongside this, I compled my BSc in Animal Behaviour where I further specialised in domestic species- companion animals. I have 3 dogs of my own (a lurcher, chihuahua and shetland sheepdog), one very fluffy cat and a corn snake! I would love to chat to discuss your needs.
Reviews
Kelis did a fab job with our 12 year old cat Millie! Timely, provided some nice photos to show Millie was happy, was well organised and very reliable! Thanks again Kelis!
Kelis was absolutely fabulous with Archie. He needed to see a vet, Kelis made arrangements with my permission, and looked after our little boy. The house was left clean and tidy. Would highly recommend her.
Kelis kept in touch before and during the evening and sent us a photo. We were very pleased, a lovely girl.
Friendly, reliable, brilliant with my dog and cats and great communication

I am super keen to be told every little detail about your pets- their likes, dislikes, any quirks etc.- so that I can alter my services to best suit their needs. From my BSc in Animal Behaviour, time spent volunteering at training classes and personal experience with my own (and families) pets- I am very open to continuation of training plans and wouldn't shy away from enquiries containing advanced instructions for those animals who may experience particular triggers. For example, being anxious around humans and/or dogs, or having a strong prey drive. I love to send lots of photo updates and am happy to provide more details over message!
Information Kelis H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet requires any medication, or other special requirements during my visits/stays. Along with any health conditions, like epilepsy, arthiritis etc. Additionally, if they experience any behaviours that I should be aware of, such as reactivities, pica, chewing, digging etc.
A typical day
It's super important to provide mental stimulation as well as physical play/walks! I love practising known tricks, hiding treats for your pets to find, along with loading up kongs/lickimatts etc. It's always great to walk round local nature reserves and fields, but I am also happy to stick to neighbourhood walks when we have less time, or if your pups are particularly older or experience any health conditions.
Services
Kelis can watch in your home
Availability
I am currently completing my Masters in Anthrozoology (studying the human-animal relationship) and work part-time at a Pet Groomers, and so extra walks, pet sits and drop-in home visits work perfectly for me alongside my studies.
