Pet care experience
Hi there! I have owned lots of different animals throughout my life, including dogs, cats, ferrets, squirrels, fish and other various small animals. In addition to owning lots of animals throughout my life, I’ve also worked at a pet hotel, and 2 pet stores where it was part of my job to take care of the animals there. For family and friends I am the go to house sitter and pet sitter. I am very passionate about finding a career that is animal related and would like to go to school to become a dog trainer. I specifically would like to train service dogs for people with handicaps and limitations. I think it’s an important job because not only am I helping people, but I’m also helping dogs find a purpose. I personally consider my pets to be family members, and I will treat yours such such too :) I currently have a golden retriever who goes just about everywhere with me and loves other dogs, so if you want your dog do you have a playmate, we might be the perfect match for you!

Keliana was great! She was dependable and took great care of our dog. She also watered plants and brought in the mail and papers. She sent us pictures every day and responded quickly if we had questions. We felt very comfortable leaving Ginger in her care.
Keli is my go to pet sitter. We have 3 dogs 4 cats and a backyard full of chickens. She is very prompt, and we never have any communication issues. We have one rescue dog who is very nervous, and Keli's calm sweet mannerisms won her over instantly. She is very knowledgeable on nutrition and proper care of our pets. I highly reccomend her as a pet sitter, as she has stayed in my house numerous times.

To me pets aren’t animals they’re family! I watch for body language to make sure the pet is comfortable, I take extra precautions to make sure that we’re safe while on walks (don’t need any bears hanging around!) and I don’t take any risks that I think could put them in a bad spot, like no off leash walks even for my client who I’ve had for 2 years now because it’s just better to be safe than sorry! Another thing is allergies! I try not to feed them anything if I haven’t already verified it with the owner, and I assume that every dog is allergic to whatever standard treat I have because again, better safe than sorry! My dog has allergies as well so I know how it can be.

Please let me know how your dog feels about other animals such as dogs and cats so that I can accommodate, and how they work on a leash. I would also be willing to work on leash training while I’m walking your dog
A typical day
Whenever I have a pet boarded in my home I plan “activities” which are usually just hikes and I’m also a photographer so I take lots of photos throughout the stay! I have multiple places around my neighborhood and around the state that I love to go to with my dogs to go on walks. If we don’t go to these we go on daily walks around the neighborhood just to get the stimulation that they deserve. I also tend to spoil them a bit and make treats or sometimes go to the store to buy them treats and toys (paying attention to dietary restrictions) and sometimes we do puzzles! In the summer I have a pop up doggy pool for them to play in as well.

I’m currently waiting to start my new job so my schedule is very open and when I do start working it’s 6am-2pm which still leaves me lots of time to work something out
