***Update*** I lost my beloved J.P. in early January of 2019 after 14 1/2 years of love. My heart is still breaking. **About me** Second-generation dog lover. Raised with (by?) Springers and a pet parent through most of my adult life. As well as unconditional love, I've had experience with whelping, worming, training, surgery, allergies, and the inevitable loss. My current dog is JP, a 13 year-old English Springer Spaniel. He's pleasant but generally disinterested in other dogs at this point --- just people with treats and long naps. Located in Andersonville, east of Gethsemane. Senn (High School/dog park) regular. **About my home/services** One-bedroom, third-floor, carpeted stairs, balcony for dogs that like to supervise the world. Lots of pleasant side-streets as well as a short walk to Seen High School if your dog likes dog parks. Not a professional groomer, but fine with brushing, combing and other basics. **About my neighborhood** Andersonville/Edgewater --- the dog-craziest neighborhood in Chicago. Seen High School (de facto neighborhood dog park) is five minutes away. 15 minutes to the lakefront. **What to expect** Lots of conversation, hugs, treats (if allowed). Long walks, park play, beach outing are all options. I'm adaptable to the dog and its owners desires. I've had couch potatoes and always-on Border Collies --- it's easier to adapt to the dog than change the dog! **Special rules or requests** Pick-ups: Vision issues prevent me from driving, so any pickups would have to be within walking distance of me. Uber/Taxi would be used for any veterinary emergencies. Drop-offs: Doorbell is flaky, if no answer, please call/text.
