I've had quite a few dogs and love dogs. I bond with dogs, giving them the attention they enjoy, playing with them and enjoying walks with them. I make sure they have cool water after being out and like to brush their coat and check for ticks or fleas to be sure they're healthy and comfortable. I'm extremely observant when walking dogs, to be sure to not subject my dog I'm walking to being attacked by an unleashed dog. I'll protect the dog even as I put myself in danger because I realize I have a better chance of survival against an aggressive dog than a docile dog would have. It will be my main priority to return a dog to its owner safe and happy! Being kind to dogs is extremely important to their overall health. They love to exercise and play, if healthy. If they sense they're not liked, they withdraw and sometimes not even eat. Those are signs of neglect and/or abuse. Letting a dog know I'm his or her friend is important to me so it won't be stressed until it gets back home to its owner or the owner gets home. If a dog sits in the owner's lap on the furniture, I'd do the same so the dog would not feel punished. Febreeze is great if needed. It's important a dog's time away from home is healthy for them. Before my sister moved to Atlanta and took her mixed breed Lexi, I loved Lexi just like my sister when I kept her, and was careful to respect her feeding regimen. A pet's diet is important to observe because meat, sweets,or anything not part of their regular diet could make them sick.
