Freshly 11 years old with so much love to give, I wrote my parents a "persuasive dog letter" outlining the duties I'd take care of and a bulleted list of events in which I showed superior responsibility. They caved. My cavalier king charles spaniel, Baron Chip Von Espy, required more training than most because well, he was royalty. After he passed, I went on to volunteer at several humane shelters training and loving dogs in need, the most recent being Berkeley Humane. I am now 24, have started 2 businesses (I come from a family of serial entrepreneurs), am back in school (sf state) for electronic media, and have a swing band I write & sing for.
