Veterinary Student!

Pet care experience

My affinity for animals culminated into a career path when I decided to major in animal science from Cal Poly San Obispo for my undergrad. I graduated in 2019 and applied to veterinary schools last summer to further my career in animal health and medicine. I recently accepted an offer from The Ohio State University and begin working towards a DVM in August 2020! Dog sitting and walking will be a way for me to make some money and spend my free time before beginning vet school. I have a strong foundation of medical knowledge and skills having been a vet tech for 2 years in addition to my degree in animal science. As a result, I am comfortable administering oral or injectable medications, and am cognizant of the signs of a sick animal.

Keiko is every dog owner’s dream dog walker and caretaker. On top of the technical experience she has gained working at a vet clinic for a few years, Keiko has an unparalleled love for animals like l’ve never seen before. As her boyfriend, it never gets easier hearing her say that she would choose her pet chihuahua Nova over myself if a decision between the two of us had to be made. Keiko loves every pup out there like it’s her own, and shows it through long walks, baths, and cuddles. I would highly recommend :)

Keiko has taken care of my very human picky puppy multiple times in the past. My dog, after a few walks, fell in love with her completely. I honestly have never met anyone who cares about animals as much as she does. My dog is on several medications due to her age related issues. Because of her experience as a technical assistant at a vet clinic, she knew what the medication was for and the right timing to administer. She has also given the dog other basic medical cares when needed. Keiko is active and loves to take the dogs she watches to walks and hikes. She has taken my dog too to a hike but she gave up on walking right before they made it to the top. She carried her down on the trail back to my house even though my dog weighs over 20 lbs. Highly recommended!

I do not have a fenced yard and therefore frequently take my dogs on hikes, to the beach, or to the park. My two small dogs are friendly with other dogs. However, if your dog does not get along with other dogs, I am able to watch your dog alone.

During these few months before my school begins, I do not plan on finding employment and have a tremendous amount of free time to spend with your pup!
