I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my entire life. As a child, I always had pets and was responsible for taking care of them. In more present times, I’ve taken care of friends’ and family members’ pets if they needed me to. I also worked at an animal shelter for two years where I fed animals, cleaned after them, bathed them, and even given them medications when needed. I’ve had from working there with puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, kittens, and adult cats. I also have experience with aggressive animals, but prefer not to work with them. I have personal experience with special needs animals. For example, my family dog growing up was blind and had diabetes, which involved extra patience and daily shots. I also adopted a partly feral cat from a shelter last year! When I got him I couldn’t pet him for 3 months, but it has been over a year now and he is confident and loves attention. It required lots of time and patience, but I’m so happy he is part of my family now! Overall, I have lots of experience with all types of dogs and cats!
