Pet care experience
I have professional experience in vet clinic and boarding settings, and I've been petsitting for many years. I grew up on a ranch with a kennel of ~15 Huskies(among many other animals), and I worked in our kennel and on the trail daily training and caring for dogs from newborn all the way up to seniors. I trained and competitively raced a team of huskies for over five years. I've petsat for multiple professional kennels of 40+ dogs, and have cared for small farms(horses, donkeys, alpacas, chickens, cows) as well.

I treat every animal I care for with the same level of care and love that I'd want for my own pets. I work hard to keep everyone's stress levels low (owners included!). You'll get photos and updates multiple times per day(I update consistently enough that I've never had an owner request an update!), and I respond promptly if you ever just want to check in. Rest assured, if I notice anything's off or even just different, I'll mention it immediately and adjust as needed—for my peace of mind as much as yours! I believe that reassuring and communicating with owners is as important as providing love and excellent care for pets. Your pets are covered through my personal petsitters insurance as well as the Rover guarantee when I care for them. Although I've never had to make a claim through either, it's better to be safe than sorry. Despite a lot of pawprints and fur, my home is a very clean environment. Surfaces and bowls are sanitized multiple times per day, and the yard is picked up multiple times per day. Toys, dog beds and couch covers are washed between bookings. I don't leave anything that a dog could swallow out, all of my plants are pet safe, and my house is very well dog proofed in general.

• I require proof of up to date vaccines and flea/tick prevention Please let me know if your dog has any behaviors to watch for—escape artistry, barking, chewing on non-toy items, marking or accidents indoors, and/or aggression towards other animals or people. I am unable to board dogs who have demonstrated aggression towards other dogs for the safety of my own pets, but am happy to do drop in visits instead.
A typical day
We are outside a lot of the time, as long as the weather allows. Lots of backyard play sessions, fetch, and tug of war, and walks if they're still not worn out! Most of my pets in the past, as well as my Aussie, have been high energy, so redirecting that energy is not new to me. I have a comfy couch and dog beds for times that we are inside or for pups who prefer to stay inside more of the time. I never let dogs play in the yard unattended—if they're outside, so am I! All pets are separated at mealtimes, or if I'm unable to actively supervise for a short period.

Availability
I have a large, secure backyard in a quiet neighborhood. My house is set up to be comfortable and safe for animals. I don't have another job, children, or family in the area, so pets and their owners are my number one priority! My dogs are fun and friendly hosts, and my cats stay securely seperate from boarding/daycare dogs at all times.
