Animal Lover & Licensed Vet Tech 🤍

Pet care experience

I’ve had a love for animals ever since I can remember, and have taken care of them for countless years. Professionally, I have worked in pet boarding kennels since 2016, doing everything from feeding to walking to bathing. I am also a 2021 graduate of the Veterinary Health Technology program at the University of Tennessee at Martin which gives me not only pet experience, but also medical knowledge in case of any emergencies. I have worked as a licensed veterinary medical technician (LVMT) in both general practice clinic and in an ER/ICU. Upon request, I can show you my LVMT licensing documents in person at drop off. I am CPR certified. My dream is to ensure that every dog, cat, or other pet is happy and healthy, and I would love to start with yours!

She did a wonderful job with Jojo. I would definitely recommend her. My dog can be stubborn sometime but she did wonderful with her. She kept me informed with her and sent me pictures too. I appreciate all she did. My dog had a wonderful time with her dog and they played well together.

Safety, trust & environment

I own a house with a large, fenced in backyard for potty breaks and playtime! There is also a screened in patio. Yard time will ALWAYS be supervised. Our house also has a split level basement, in which we have converted to space for the cats. If you prefer your pets to be separate from mine, then that can be arranged also! Every area of our house is pet friendly. I love all shapes, sizes, and breeds of dogs and cats, but unfortunately I feel since my baby is younger I can not accommodate (in my house) large dogs or some intact males at the moment, for his safety.

Information Kearsten H. would like to know about your pet

All I need to know about your pet is their personality and routine to ensure they feel this is their home away from home! ❗️Your pets must be friendly to people (women and men) and other animals ❣️They must also be of good (non-contagious) health - this means flea prevention, up to date on vaccines, and not showing signs of spontaneous coughing, vomiting, or diarrhea (unless otherwise diagnosed by your vet as chronic illness) ✨You MUST make me aware of temperaments, possible triggers, likes/dislikes, allergies, and anything else you feel is of importance. I need to be prepared for anything to ensure your little ones safety! ✅I will need your pets food, a bowl, their crate, and their toys for during their stay. *if your pet is marking in my house, they will accrue and extra $10 fee for cleaning purposes

A typical day

We always love yard time! There is plenty of space to run, play, fetch, and explore! My house is in a private, quiet neighborhood perfect for walks. There is also substantial space indoors to play and fetch as well, if your little one prefers indoor play. I’m a strong believer in not only physical play, but mental play as well. If your pet is more energetic, mental play does wonders for them. This usually means giving them a type of treat “puzzle”, which can be approved or declined by you. The puzzle keeps them occupied for longer periods of time, and helps stimulate their cognitive function. This is available for both dogs and cats. I would require you to bring/purchase your own puzzle and treats, or I can use mine (throughly washed and sterilized) for an extra $5 per puzzle.I also provide “grooming” services which would include bath, brush, ear cleaning, and a nail trim (if your pet is willing). If your pet is showing signs of fear or stress I will not force them.

👋🏼I have been a full time vet tech at a veterinary emergency hospital, but since have had a baby and am currently a stay at home mom, so I am available almost all hours of the day to care for your fur babies! 🩺Since I am a licensed veterinary technician graduated from an AVMA approved veterinary program, I have extensive knowledge regarding pets and their health. I am more than comfortable with senior pets, or pets with specials needs and ones that may have heart, respiratory, or other illnesses. 💉I also have extensive experience administering medications of all kinds. Injectable, oral, topical, you name it!
