All things dog!
Pet care experience
I started volunteering at an animal shelter when I was 12 years old, and the rest is history! Since then, I have fostered hundreds of dogs, became an experienced dog handler, dog daycare attendant, trainer, and veterinary technician. I have been boarding dogs out of my home, pet sitting and dog walking for the last 12 years as well. In my free time, I enjoy taking my personal dogs hiking, swimming, and kayaking. Needless to say, my life revolves around dogs!
Reviews
When our dogs figure out that they are going to be with Kaylyn, their tails start wagging and they audibly chirp in excitement ... we joke that if we didn't love Kaylyn so much, too, we would be offended! And as much as our dogs love being with her, we are deeply grateful that we can be 100% confident that they receive the very best care. One of our dogs has very special needs, including medications that he must get four times a day on a very strict schedule, and we have never once worried about asking Kaylyn to do that for him. In fact, she has such natural curiosity about veterinary medicine that she not only asks really good questions about administering the meds, but she wants to understand his treatment as a whole. She is definitely paying close attention to her canine charges - and has never hesitated to let us know if something seems unusual, whether that is behavior, eating habits, or of course, poop! When our dogs are with Kaylyn, she treats them as her own. And she takes the very best pictures!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a good sized fenced in yard, with a double gate system to prevent any accidental escapes. All dogs are kept on leash if leaving the house for a walk. When unable to be supervised, crates are used to ensure the safety of all dogs in the home. I perform a daily head to toe physical check, looking for any small issue that could potentially become a larger issue.
