Pet care experience
Hi there! A little about me - I've worked with dogs full time for 2 years now, and have extensive experience with them before that as well. I have 2 Siberian huskies and have fostered elderly dogs/cats in the past! We love hiking, skiing, biking and road trips! We have an acre of fenced in wooded property on the river up in index, and go for a minimum of 4 miles of walking a day so we're very used to active breeds! I also have a lot of experience with senior/special care dogs and am more than happy to administer any medications that may be necessary and give them a comfy space to relax :) My house has plenty of dog beds, pets are more than welcome on the couches and we have a guest room in case a pet needs to be kept separate. I also have some extra crates tucked away that I can use if requested! I am very comfortable with reactive dogs and am more than happy to follow any special behavioral requests. I always carry treats on walks and avoid other animals, and if your pet is good in the car I have a knack for finding less popular trails to walk on to make the experience more peaceful for shy/reactive pets :) Please message me if you have any questions at all! For boarding or In house daycare: My dogs love other pups, but if yours doesn't I have a separate room and can take them on solo walks! I also am happy to pull out crates if your pet is used to them, and I have plenty of enrichment toys (kongs, food puzzles, toy puzzles, lick mats etc.) to keep them busy if you'd like them to have their own space :) For in house visits: I am very comfortable/calm with reactive or selective dogs, and am happy to give your baby space if that's what they prefer. I have a ridiculous stash of treats that I love to bring my new friends to break the ice, as long as you're pet has no allergies! If your dog is a cuddle bug, perfect because so am I :) For walks: I am no stranger to pulling (3 huskies at once, haha) so it's no problem to me at all, and again, I am perfectly comfortable and accommodating with any type of reactivity as long as it's communicated clearly and I can work with the dog and make sure they're comfortable :)

A typical day
I live right down the road from a mostly abandoned trail along the river, and we usually walk there 2-3 times a day (2-6 miles total). On weekends we love exploring new trails (if your dog is staying with us I'll be sure to send the name / location of the trail and plenty of cute pics!), And on work days we go for a bike ride before I leave. I love giving my dogs frozen kongs during the day if we're relaxing or lick mats!

I work at a dog boarding/training facility part time but can work your pets needs into my schedule easily :) especially if requests are made 1-2 weeks out, I can set aside any amount of time needed!
