Hi! I'm Kayleigh and I am a 23y/o Towson University Student. I have been working with dogs for a long time now, almost 9 years. I have worked and volunteered at many different animal shelters and even worked at a husky rescue in Minnesota for a while. I worked at Lucky Dog animal rescue for a while which lead me to adopt my current dog. I love hanging out with pets and I have my own Australian Cattle dog mix. I have lived and worked with German Shorthaired pointers for the most part, so I have a lot of experience in high energy breeds. The dog that I currently have is reactive to certain things and has her quirks so I have learned a lot just by owning and training her. I love all fur babies big and small! I have trained all the dogs that I own, which included basic obedience training and getting my dogs trained on an e-collar. I would love for the opportunity to help you and your fur baby out!

Kayleigh is a very responsible young woman. She has grown up with animals all of her life. From chinchillas to geckos and many breads of dogs. She loves all animals and even spent a semester in Africa volunteering working with elephants and other large animals on several reserves. Kayleigh knows a lot about animal behaviors a can easily care for many types of animals. She is comfortable playing, working on commands, addressing behavioral issues, and feedings. She currently has a dog of her own who she loves and cares for everyday from getting up early for walks, feeding, giving meds, clipping nails, providing enrichment activities and keeping her safe and loved.

I have a very friendly dog who loves to go on walks and to the park and always likes to have a friend. I am happy to go on long walks with your pet alone also! Taking pets on long walks or to the park is my favorite thing to do. I am also happy to sit inside with your pet and play with them there if playing outside is not an option. I also always bring treats when I see a pet friend!

I would like to know about any behaviors that your dogs may have, like if they do or do not like other dogs or people. Or if they may have any triggers when being taken outside. For example, my pup does not like wheels or strangers so that would be something I would like to know. It’s definitely not an issue if your dog has any certain behaviors but i would like to know beforehand. Also knowing any quirks about your dog, like where they like to go potty, what their favorite toy or treat is or anything else that you can think of!
A typical day
I love to get the dogs outside whenever I can, and hopefully find a place where the dogs can be off leash, like a park or any open field with a fence perhaps haha. Also when its a rainy day I love to do enrichment activities for the dogs, like putting some of their kibble into a dish towel and tying it in a knot, or doing training tricks. I also love just regular play with the dogs like chase and tug of war.

I am currently a college student, so I have free time in between my classes to take care of your pet! Most of my weekends are also free so if you need some time away from home for an evening I can help!
